What size o rings do I need for wacky rigs? 

Once you are looking for right size O ring, Let me tell you what I am using. Electric tape, just one wrap around it and put the hook trough, It is very nice and holding very well and dont matter the size or need any extra tools.

Depends what size stick bait you’re using.

I picked up a bunch of 5in stick baits…some stroke king, some googan, some Yamamoto …I think I’ve got one package of 6” too

3/8” heatshrink.

7-9 mm ID surge hose.

If you want to use O rings take your baits in to the hardware store and buy the sizes you need.

@DN3, if you’re using a 5” Senko, use o-rings with a 1/4” ID (inside diameter). Easily bought online, or at Home Depot or Lowe’s. 

Take a condom and cut it into strips, put it around the senko and tie 2 granny knots. That  baby isnt coming off.

I use my condoms for something alot more fun than fishing. 

1/4", 3/8", 5/8" depending on the size of your stick baits.  I use the ones with an exterior hook loop perpendicular to the plane of the O-ring itself.  Seems to improve hookups substantially.

I use 6mm VMC crossover rings for my 5 inch senkos

Do you guys use the same size for both 4” and 5” Senkos?

Use ribbed, they really grab.

 

I like the electrical tape idea (because I have some!). I may try that, I've never used an o-ring or anything on a wacky rig.

Same, like them better than Orings.

I have been very happy with these
