Bass Clubs around Houston Texas
Looking for some kind of bass club to get involved into before i move away in a year. Only thing I'm looking for is just people to go fishing with and possibly fish a couple tournaments. Lakes include: Lake Conroe and Lake Houston also enjoy pond hopping fishing.

Casting Distances
Throwing with a tail wind will generally get your baits out farther. If you throw against the wiond it will not go as far. DUH!!!!!

How Would You Fish This Spot?
My favorite thing to do is to always work the shore line a lot of my friends tell me im crazy. I prefer to think im not . That is my favorite part of bassing is working the shore line with jigs and soft plastics. If you cant find any good structure on the shore line then just try and work the breaks of the reservoir.

Houston Area Lakes
There is a lot of beds bass are laying on down in lake conroe and if you are trying to seriously fish them you need to look in the weeds for all the beds on Conroe. Also right now it is best to throw lizards and salamanders on Lake Conroe. Also if you are throwing jigs with trailers right now they are hitting on those. But you have to have a precise presentation on all the beds

Shimano Chronarch 200E5/6
i just got the 2014 200 E5 I love that real and becoming a new bass angler within the past two years i started to use this reel as a learning reel. My personal favorite feature with being a beginner baitcasting reel user is the magnetic spool control

Recommend Me A Kayak
I am only 15, and i have really taken a liking to bass fishing even though my whole family is mostly saltwater. For my fifteenth birthday i asked my mom if i could get a kayak so i could just go out alone. Either way that doesn't matter i have the little $250 Pelican Apex 80 XE a little 8 foot kayak. Personally i i like my kayak and it is a very inexpensive and good kayak. I dont have to worry about wind cause it sits low and the weight rating is about 300 lbs. Im not the type to stand up and fish i prefer to sit down but i feel like it could be acomplished. For your first kayak i recommend you start out a little cheaper and go with one of the pelican kayaks.
