Does anybody have any info on this rod?

Well I have narrowed it down to the elite tech or the crucial. Now time to pick out a spinning reel

When buying a rod, reel, or both. Do y'all prefer to keep them in the same brand? Or do you like to mix and match the setups that you have. I prefer to mix and match mine that way I am able to try out several different companies to find what I really like. Just wondering how you all went about it.

I always look for birds on the lake. Usually if you do find them circling there is bait fish under them. I also use turtles because I have always heard if the turtles are on the log then the bass are in the cove.
