  1. He didn't do anything on purpose. Kevin like all angry NASCAR drivers walked out into on coming traffic pointing and taunting and he tragically got hit. He was wearing black and it was dark outside and he is walking in front of fast moving trucks? But no it's not his fault he got hit! Tony stewart is not a murderer. But all of that aside this is tragic whether or not it was an accident and my prayers go to Kevin's family.
  2. I don't fish rocks often but when I do I love a craw lure on a jig head... Seems to make the perfect clicking noise when tapped against rocks and drives bass crazy!
  3. Mend-it Is a soft plastic lure glue, it can be ordered off tackle warehouse
  4. Went out tonight and fished a couple hours and it was pretty slow...
  5. A bass is going to spit a bait the second it feels something unnatural, it can take half a second for a bass to fully bite down on a bait and then spit it out, a circle hook only works good when a fish bites a lure/bait and keeps it in its mouth and turns and swims away, hooking it in the corner of the mouth. This is why circle hooks work well with live bait and small lures, a bass will hold onto live bait long enough to give a circle hook a chance to work. But if the bass bites a lure and instantly starts to spit it out you'll never catch him without a hookset. And I'm sorry but I just find it hard to believe you've only lost 2 fish in 3 years.... But hey, if its working for you that's all that matters. From my experience they are less than ideal for bass fishing
  6. Yes, obviously its true that every hook isn't gonna work 100% of the time but it seems that circle hooks which are supposed to hook the fish with no hook set don't work well with bass. I've used them for catfish and saltwater fish and they work great.
  7. Am I supposed to fish the gold on or off the bottom? What lb test should I use?
  8. Rage craw used like a buzz bait!
  9. Exactly, and even with circle hooks you sometimes don't get a good hook set when it comes to bass.... I'll use a octupus hook on a drop shot but not your traditional circle hook with the curved point.
  10. Nope... Some days I'll go out to the lake and its like a overcrowded public pool with all the splashing... And some days I'll go out there and itll look like a wasteland... The fish were probably just inactive that day, I seriously doubt that the reservoir could have a health swing in that short amount of time.
  11. If the fishing is good during the night do you guys think the fishing will be slower come morning on average? Like it seems like the days I hear of people doing really good at night, I won't do as great that morning.... What's your opinion?
  12. If were talking 300 yard spools then yes that is a good deal... I would jump on that
  13. *2 for professional counseling.... Hang in there man, good things happen to good people!
  14. 31$ for 2 spools? No not a great deal. If it was PP super slick 31$ for 2 spools would save you alittle. At academy here original power pro is 15$ a spool and power pro super slick is 20$
  15. Tomorrow is a new day, I say go fishing!
  16. I love bass fishing for the challenge.
  17. Welcome to the forums!
  18. That's where I got my first one from Great prices and good service.
  19. Hmm didn't notice anything about the drag star thanks for that little bit of info!
  20. the guardians movie had to go and remind me of this song, such a good movie and soundtrack.... Come And Get Your Love Redbone 1974:
  21. Are you using the screw lock or the other thingy muh Bob that's built on the hook? I prefer the screw lock....
  22. I use braid for poppers, just remember that with zero stretch all the give must come from your rod and drag. It makes having the correct rod and drag setting that much more important
  23. I'm looking into buying another tatula because I love my 7.3 I have now and I'm wondering if its really worth upgrading to the 8.1 they have for the type R (not for the faster gear ratio). They only benefits I see are a lighter spool, 2 corrosive resistant bearing, and a new paint job for those who care... I'm not gonna be using the new reel for anything light but I can cast 1/8 lures on my normal tatula so would a lighter spool really help you get any lower than that? And how helpful are those 2 improved bearings? Probably gonna be using this reel for heavy cover fishing like frogs, punching, pitching, jigs etc... So do you guys think its really worth dishing out the extra 50?
