  1. Yeah any information is awesome.... Its a plastic fuel filter IIRC but there is gasoline coming through, I took the line off that connects to the carb from the filter and pumped the bubble and gas went through....

  3. Alright I'll try replacing all the fuel lines before i do anything else, that should be a quick and easy thing to do....
  4. I honestly don't know much anything about outboards, my grandpa has been helping me a lot. How would I even go about seeing if the filter is bad?
  5. It isn't locked up, its electric and pull start but I've been having to pull start it because the solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced. I was thinking it could also be the spark plugs, could that possibly be the problem?
  6. Yeah there is a leak in the fuel line that is attached to the fuel filter. It needs to be replaced, that's a simple fix. The gas should be fine because its brand new.... Would a little leak cause enough of a pressure loss that it would cause the engine to not even try to start??
  7. I bought a 1988 Lowe boat with a 25 HP mercury and the other day it ran but it was going slower than it should and it was having trouble idling, then the next day I ran it for 20 minutes out to a spot on the lake then back to the ramp another 20 minutes to retrieve something. Then when I went to go start it again it wouldn't crank at all, wouldn't even try to turn over, when I was pulling up to the ramp I put it in neutral and right before I turned it off it kinda sputtered out on its own, that's the last time it ran. What could it possibly be? I was thing the carborator is the problem, like its not getting gas or something.... Could the carborator also be the reason its not running as fast as it should? Its an old mercury btw Me and my grandpa opened it up and cleaned the carborator alittle but it still didn't run, it is very gunked up under the cover on the engine.... I'm ordering a carborator cleaning kit to actually clean the thing.
  8. My best bowfin lures are beetle spins, marabou jigs, and roadrunners with a trailer like a Mr. Crappie grub but you can catch them on almost anything. They eat cut bait well too. Don't let the size of those lures fool you, I've caught huge bowfin on all of them.
  9. Shoot I'll probably just have to buy a 45lb thrust trolling motor and one dual purpose battery... I can't afford anything better....
  10. I didn't see group 29 ever start max batteries, saw about every number except 29 lol. What is the group anyways?
  11. I was thinking more around 300$ for the trolling motor....
  12. Ugggh I was hoping buying a trolling motor and batteries would be simple.... Welp, guess I gotta do some research.
  13. Yeeesh a 100lb+ trolling motor..... Idk about all that, that's gotta be a small fortune... And I could fit 2-3 batteries in it I believe.
  14. What do you mean by if your gonna use two? Two batteries?
  15. Nope... I tried getting one on topwater early but I gave up, only lures I caught them on was a gulp shrimp on a popping cork and jig head and a zoom fluke on a jig head.
  16. Got my first boat! A 15ft Lowe aluminum with a 25hp mercury. But I need a trolling motor and battery for it, what size of each should I get? I was thinking a 55lb thrust trolling motor would be plenty for this boat but was wondering if I should get stronger because I fish a lot of grass... And what size battery should I get?
  17. Well.... I just boat my first boat too! A 15ft Lowe aluminum with a 25hp mercury.
  18. Ummmmm I can't remember the name for the life of me but I do know we were near Tallahassee and we put in by a lighthouse..... All of them came off rock piles in pretty shallow water.
  19. Can you post some pictures of your new boat? If you don't mind... I'm looking for a boat too and have about the same budget and I'm just curious what deal you snagged...
  20. I like the San Diego Jam and Palomar knot.
  21. If it was 2lbs that's a very nice speck.
  22. My uncle called me and asked to go down to tallahasee to go redfishing with him and of course I never pass up a good fishing trip so I told him alright and went down there today, I barely ever get to go saltwater fishing so I really try to get the most out of these trip, we caught a lot of redfish and even got some catfish, jacks, trout, and mackerel! Caught a pretty big 24.5" redfish and my uncle caught a 28" most of them came on shrimp but some came on artificials. It's a blast catching reds on spinning rods hearing that drag screaming!
  23. Bass tastes great, that's a question you gotta find out for yourself, catch one and find out if you like em!
  24. Same.... It happens all the time.
