How do you get a hookset with those when the bass takes the whole bait? Seems like the plastic part would keep the hook from getting the fish or it would just pop the fishes mouth open....

Black or white skirt. I don't pay much mind to the blade color but some people think it makes all the difference.

Single bladed buzzbaits cause less commotion but can't be fished as slow as double bladed buzzbaits, double bladed buzzbaits cause more commotion but can be fished slower than single bladed buzzbaits. Use that information to decide which you wanna throw.

I've caught tons of bass on swim jigs and have had some good jerkbait fish this week, great presentation for upper 50°'s!

Can't really think of much terrible stuff that has happened to me but I did get my trolling motor stolen once, then the next morning I was paddling the Jon boat through pads just flipping and pitching all day and I got tons of bites but could not for the life of me get any fish to the boat....

Its definitely fun catching big fish on tiny hooks and lures, went out and caught some big bowfin today on 1/16th oz jigs & grubs... What a blast!
