  1. Great suggestion Sam! thank you.
  2. I appreciate the input. I ended up going out to lake anna, and caught 4 LMB between 2-3 pounds nothing special, and I caught one 3 pound striped bass. Had a good time, will probably go back out that way in a week or two. Still looking for something close by with some great shore, or boat fishing. Thanks for all of the input ya'll. I did get pretty lucky and talked to a gentleman who is going to take me out on his "secret" lake. Only a handful of people are allowed to fish out of the lake so i am looking forward to that coming soon. I ended up just renting a small jon boat out at lake anna.
  3. Is there anywhere within Richmond area that is great fishing without a boat?@SAM I live right by lake rooty in Innsbrook so that lake would not be preference. It is my birthday Friday so I need to catch some fish!!! Looking to stay within a half hourish of where I live.
  4. I am planning on going to swift creek this Friday. Are there any great spots to fish from shore? I am trying to rustle up a Jon boat or a canoe to take out there...but I might not be able to pull that off in time.
  5. I am in the Richmond area (technically Glen Allen)
  6. Hey what is going on everybody!! I am new to the forum here. I haven't fished Virginia at all as I moved here from Texas not to long ago. I am looking for a fishing partner to show me around to some great spots. I do NOT have a boat....yet. I really appreciate any tip, advice etc... Chris
