  2. Here's the frog that I fish with 14lb. mono backing and 15 lb. flouro leader. medium heavy baitcasting rod (7') and reel It's called a Panther Martin superior weedless frog. Hope that helps! Thanks everybody!
  3. So no one knows, huh?
  4. Why does my frog spin when I retreive it? It's the one with the life-like legs.
  5. I don't need max distance for bluegill. I need at most 10 yards.
  6. I know this is a bass site but one quick question with bluegill: What type of line do you use to tie a bobber stop knot. I see a lot of people using braid, but does it have to be? Also is the knot supposed to fit inside your guides? Thanks in advance!
  7. I'm doing a slip bobber rig and I need to know what type of line to use for the actual knot? Does it even matter? Can I use mono or flouro?
  8. You been there before? Lower Otay?
  9. interesting answers everyone. none of your guys answers "agreed" with me. Really different than what I thought but thanks! Like I said, personal preference please!
  10. I fish on a lake on the border of California and Mexico. Now listen to these details: Its visibility is up to 25 feet ,it's an 75-80 degree day and water is 70-73 depending on where you look. What would be the best lure for this situation?
  11. You can catch bluegill, catfish, and bass on a plastic worm. I caught a 2 foot long bull on a 6 inch worm.
  12. Another question: How deep do I want the lure to run? What does it mean when it says 6-13'? How can you adjust the depth it runs at? I've been confused about this for a time.
  13. Why apologize? Thanks for your time and info. Greatly appreciate it! Wrapping it up it sounds like firetiger will do for me. If not, Good Charlie! Get another one!
  14. Thanks to all. I'll adjust. I'm convinced the settings were wrong.
  15. I might be a little late, but Lower Otay down south in sdc is the ultimate bass lake in probably the whole of Southern California.
  16. Even though what you said may not sound like much, this caught me in an " Oh yeah, haven't thought about that" moment. Thanks a bunch!
  17. My rod is a medium heavy fast action with the black max 2 reel with 14lb. line that is .014 inches in diameter. My rod is a medium heavy fast action with the black max 2 reel with 14lb. line that is .014 inches in diameter.
  18. Thanks, I'm fishing in 75 degree water before sunrise, overcast mornings and in scattered flooded timber.
  19. I have an Abu garcia combo (baitcaster). Yesterday, i was fishing using a 6-inch plastic worm and a 1/4 ounce weight. Farthest I could cast with that setup was maybe 30 feet. Using a heavier weight would make the worm sink too quickly. How would I cast farther without increasing the weight? Or is that even possible?
  20. What color crankbait do you guys out there use for heavily stained water? It would help if you could give an exact crankbait that you use. How do you retrieve it? Thanks guys!
  21. Thanks both of you guys. got it
  22. Thanks, at least I have an idea now. Peace!
  23. Why are some hooks spelled out x/x while others are #x (the "x" representing the number hook). For example, what's the difference between a 2/0 and #2 hook?
