what about the crankbait?

I fish in socal Lower Otay and Lake Perris where water visibility can be up to 30 feet on the best days. The weather is usually sunny and hot when we go, and we do early morning/late evening fishing when the bass come into the shallows(15-20 feet or less) (I've seen the big ones swimming in a foot of water in the early mornings) But let's just say I'm fishing for them in between 10-15 foot depth range. Also, any idea if a topwater frog would work in those situations?

I have a vigilante baitcaster rod with a black max 2 reel and im wondering how heavy of a line I should use for largemouths. I want to do a mono backing with a flouro leader. Should they be the same pound test or different? I fish in clear water in weeds/along weed lines.

Just wondering if anyone out there knows how much a 6-inch straight plastic roboworm weighs?

Just wondering if there is any way to find out how many yards of line can fit on your spool for a certain pound test. For example, if a spool can fit 150 yards of 12 lb test monofilament line, how much of 20lb. could fit?

I've already got my rod and line down but I can't find a reel that's <40$ that has a gear ratio of at least 6.2:1 and holds 20lb. test line. Anyone out there know anything? I know it's a cheap price range but can't do any better right now:(
