I'm trying to plan a week of fishing in September. 2 of the lakes that made the cut (trying a new lake that I never been to) is mount storm and cheat lake. Any thoughts on where I would be more successful or have a better opportunity to catch a lot of bass. Will have my dad with me so I wanna make it as successful as possible for him. Gonna be fishing lake mosquito the first week of June 2017. Any thoughts as to where to start out, morning and mid morning spots?

I have a lowrance 4x elite fishfinder and I cannot seem to get setting right because the screen will just be covered in green and red because of the weeds. Anybody know what I can do to get less weeds on the screen to show a better bottom contour?

I fish a little lake with good numbers when it comes to fish but is very full of weeds already. It's only my second year into fishing bass and I can't seem to get a few options to work once the weeds are high. Rattle traps work great until the weeds came. The are about 2 inches from the water line. Any help on what to use would be appreciated.
