Right now im doing well on the live target hollow body in the pads and near weeds. the LC sammy in more open water.

just got a RI Vixen the other day...cant wait to play with it

Only smallmouth up here so if I had to pick one as an all-time most productive I would say a Heddon Torpedo in bullfrog. Having said that, lately a Rebel Pop'R in clear or bone has been working incredibly well. Last month it was a Super Spook Jr. in bone and a Zara puppy in bone.

Guess this all means it's sometimes situational as to what the fish like.

Heddon's Tiny Torpedo is one of the finest top water baits ever made and will surprise you from time to time by getting a strike

from a bass that's much more than average...I'm down South and I assure you we use 'em down here, too.

Rapala skitter pop- fire tiger

Excalibur popper- shad

Koppers LiveTarget Field Mouse - brown/white

Try the Excalibur popper in a shad style pattern, worked well for me in Minnesota on smallmouth when I was up there! Tight lines man

I bet I could count on both hands the number of topwater fish I've caught this year, a majority of them were on a Zell Pop though.

Isn't a RICO like a $25 popper? I think I saw one at bass pro one time. What's the difference between that and a $3 rebel pop-r besides a fancy paint job and better hooks (which can be replaced anyways)?

Day: superspook white redhead

Night: black jitterbug

Prestige

If you haven't used one you won't understand how awesome it is, Arbogast Buzz Plug in black or firetiger. Other than that keep it to livetarget frogs and field mouse for heavier cover.
