  1. I do agree with the smile, it sure did look better in the water at first. Good luck with the new truck.
  2. Fished Balch today, a very tough bite. Tried many technics to no avail. Two fish caught, 1 three pound largemouth and a smaller smallmouth. Surface temp 59-60, and the water level has not yet been lowered.
  3. What a great fish! A real trophy for NH waters. Heading to Balch on Friday, I do wish the water had cooled a little more by now.
  4. Fished Jenness pond in Northwood yesterday. Fished in the morning, all bass caught on or around rocky points on a double Indiana blade spinnerbait with tan and white skirt. Did manage 2.7 and 3.9 pound LM, all others smaller. That pond always seems to be windy!
  5. Fished Great East today. Still no bass on a chatterbait, a couple of large pickerel but no bass. The topwater bite was good first thing this morning, numerous largemouth 1 to 1.5 pounds and a 2.5 pound smallmouth great fight I could not keep the fish in the water. I never did find the largemouth bite after the topwater bite died down and had to settle for fishing smallmouth on some rock piles (all small). Always good to be on the water.
  6. I'm going to try Great East again tomorrow, clear sky's but its the last chance I will have this week. Eventually I'm going to catch a fish on a chatter bait!
  7. I agree it is a beautiful lake. Have gone up the last 3 years in the spring and stayed at paradise point cottages, they have docks there that you just keep your boat in the water. Smallmouth fishing is great even though they were illegally introduced into the lake in the 90's. I have caught a couple of large mouth and have seen a picture of a 8 pounder taken from there. It's great to go 5 miles up the lake and see no other boats. Be very careful of your lower end (do not motor in to close to shore) huge boulders and most are not marked.
  8. Thanks for the information on Horn Pond BobH64. I have never been there but had picked it out to try. I'm not sure how to get your info to show with this post, new to any forums. I have fished for a lot of years but seem to always struggle during the middle of the day during the summer. I'm always looking for lakes that are not highly pressured but still have a decent launch.
  9. This is my first time posting to this board, but I have read it for awhile. BobH64 I saw where you were going to fish Horn Pond , I was thinking of going there next week. Did you go and if so how was the fishing.
