  1. This appears to be a Spotted Bass (Micropterus punctulatus) just looking at this image I can see distinct horizontal rows of scale spots called 'ventrolateral stripes'. BTW eye color can vary based on a number of environmental factors so it is not a reliable way to identify bass. These are true Redeye Bass (Micropterus coosae) native only to the Coosa River drainage above the Fall Line.
  2. This appears to be a Bartram's x Alabama 'spotted' bass hybrid. Unfortunately hybrids like this are common throughout the upper Savannah River drainage where Alabama 'spotted' bass have been illegally introduced (Jocassee, Keowee, Hartwell, Russell, etc...).
