Check out this site.http://www.airbrushcity.com/ They have lots to offer.
  2. Dwain, the baits appear to be slightly rounded, so how do you keep the bait square to the saw blade while cutting the lip slot? Thanks in advance, Jerry
  3. Is the bait wooden? Remove the line tie first and if you're very careful, you can use a small curved chisel to remove some of the material to give a concaved face, or a dremel would work nice too. Just be careful with both tools because they remove flesh as easily as wood.
  4. You may consider a spoon also. Maybe about the same size or a little larger than the shad. Let it flutter through the school. It mimics a wounded fish. Fish on!! 8-)
  5. Thanks for that link. That guy makes some HUGE baits. Awesome patterns too.
  6. That frog pattern would be killer on a 1-minus type bait.
  7. And here they are with "hardware" and paint.
  8. You have to remember when fishing the suspenders, that if you get hung up, it almost stays hung up. I always carry a "hound dog" to get a deep suspender back. Pretty cheap insurance. I paint a lot of my own and I don't like loosing them. :-[
  9. Nothing like making a long cast along a point and have the bait come to an abrupt halt and feel the massive head shake.
  10. 3/4 ounce football head brown craw pattern with pork chunk. All day, any day. The big ladies always will eat a craw.
  11. X2 Quicker to the top the better.
  12. Maui Jim's, free. Found them on the beach...
  13. It is no fun throwing a DD22 with a 6.2:1 reel. Doesn't work, well it will but it will burn you out in a hurry. 7.5 foot rod, 5.3:1 reel and cast as far as you can. DD22's all day will make a man out of you.
  14. To reply to your question: If you're 6 feet deep, I would throw a crankbait that would dive 8 to 12 feet. You can control the amount of time the bait contacts the bottom and also how much of the bottom it contacts. If you're fishing 15 feet of water, I would throw a crankbait that would dive to 20 feet. This all hinges on whether the fish are on the bottom. If not, you want to change tactics. If they're suspended, you might try a suspending crankbait at the depth the fish are holding, and don't tell you suspended fish can't be caught, because they can.
  15. I made a couple for her. Here is one. She wanted earrings.
  16. Don't you love battle scars on a crankbait......nicely done.
  17. Gosh, I thought you were talking about Gary Coleman.
  18. Yeah Rich, there's one in your neck of the woods. I think it's scbbbc. Some good sticks in that club. You might want to check it out.... Jerry
  19. Been there, done that, even here in California, early Jan. Nice pics of some nice looking smallies. I'll bet they pounded those crankbaits!!! Jerry

Our club has been around since 1980 and everything has been and still is split 50/50 as far as fuel on the water, IF you ride you split that as well. All tourney fees are paid by the participants of the tourney on the day of the meeting or on site of the tourney. The boaters pay for the launch, but I like to take care of that as a bonus to the boater for the ride. This system has been working since day one....
  21. That looks more like a Fender Strat....LOL pretty cool, now get a fish to play a tune on that bad boy..
  22. I like the "thinking outside the box" Big M is on top of it, treble one hook clipped etc, this is what new lure designs is all about. Nice.
  23. If I had mine in the kitchen, my wife would have my nads.
  24. That is really cool, you just gave me an idea for my shop. Confine the paint and you won't have any airborne material flying around to get on everything. Nice idea to combine the paint booth and drying wheel...
  25. Now that is thinking outside the "tackle box". Nice concept.
