Yo-Zuri 100%Fluoro Top Knot Main Line
I know this later in time than original post but I couldn’t agree with Ron T more! Decided to try TopKnot moreso as a value purchase ($10 for 200 yards). The line diameter per pound test is much smaller on TopKnot versus Red Label, as well as Berkley 100% fluoro; just like the same # offering from Sunline or Seaguar. I’d def rank TopKnot above Red Label & berkley 100%, and in about the same as Invisx. Maybe not quite as great as sniper but close enough that I’ll continue to buy TopKnot. Although I haven’t yet used it in 8# or 6# as a leader spinning setup, I have used 10# and was happy with it too. Hopefully I can keep getting this line at the great price I am now. It really has been a good line for me so far. Used it all of last season.

Anyone make Tungsten Magnum Shakey Head/big worm jig for deep summer fish ?
I’ve gotten a 3/8 & 1/2 strike king magnum jig head using “ol’ monsters” but prefer the extra feel I get using tungsten. I’ve got an Eco-pro tungsten wobble head in this larger size but I was just curious if anyone knew where I could find a shakey head style jig head made from tungsten in this “magnum” size ?

Skunkville
hey everyone...i just went out yesterday and got hit with my first skunkville of the year (other than a bowfin.) In the past 4-5 weeks I've been to this water 3 times with the first two having water in the 40-45 degree range and me actually landing a few nice spots and one largemouth. I go back yesterday, thinking the water would've warmed to the mid-50s and been the prespawn bite to really be in gear. Once on the water, I find the temp to be 65-68 depending on the position of the sun/shade-lines. Has anyone else ever had to deal with such a dramatic increase in water temps? It's almost like the bass are confused and haven't had time to get on the beds yet. Any input would be appreciated.

New Stuff From Lews
Agreed on that about the hook keeper. I didn't pay it much attention on the video until you just now said it. Picked up a "33 platinum" combo for my girlfriend to use when she occasionaly goes out with me when they first came out and was thinking that it was odd for them to not have a hook keeper when the base model and then i realized that the platinum does have a keeper made right under spool.

I also like the idea of the return to the original paint scheme on the speed sticks versus the reddish color that has been around lately

***.com has a link to a short video showing these new items and that new team lews with the 7.2:1 ($240) seems super sweet but the idea of having an 8:1 superduty speed spool for less than $200 (think it said $175) makes me :eyebrows:
