  1. I was looking at getting a couple of kayaks to fish those hard to get to spots.
  2. I have no idea what it is near but it is shallow. I usually start by the dam and work my way towards that area.
  3. Topwater lures out by the tree stumps has worked best for me. I have also heard that they drained huntsman and put the fish from huntsman into mercer
  4. If you just want to get out on the river and catch some fish, just use bitsy minnows. They kill the smallies, bluegill, and fallfish in the doah. I have also caught largemouth and smallmouth up to 4 pounds on them. You can rent a canoe from downriver canoe company or front royal canoe company. Downriver will take care of you but gear is not provided.
  5. I usually use shallow crankbaits and it is hit and miss, but it haven't found anything else that works through the weeds.
  6. What part of the lake do you catch them at? I catch most of my fish down by the dam
  7. Went by there today and caught eight fish between a half pound and two pounds. I have a friend that caught a six pounder. Just wanting to see if anyone else has fished there
  8. I don't know goose creek but if you are near the shenandoah just go get some bitsy minnows and a canoe and you can catch hundreds of fish
  9. Went out last weekend and caught 11 none under 31/2 #s. Hear about people catching fifty fish the same size in one morning just wondering how to do that.
  10. I am new to carp fishing and have only fished with corn. Any spot or places where you can catch carp and/or bait recipes.

  12. I have a couple of ponds in my neighborhood that have been great and have been down to hemlock too. I have never seen or caught a smallmouth down in hemlock I wound up catching 100 bluegill. Might go down there today, any ideas?
  13. I have fished Burke Lake, Lake Barton, and everything to do with Occoquan without much luck. Any small lakes anybody knows about.
  14. I have heard there are smallmouth but never caught one?
