  1. Mobile Tensaw delta,Ala. South delta\brackish water,no bigger than 5 lbs.Alabama\Tombigbee rivers further north 7.5 lbs.Although a 9 lbs bass holds the tournament record here.
  2. I fish the Alabama and Tombigbee Rivers here in Bama.My best baits are soft plastics and jigs around blowdowns.Having some chartruese and yellow dip or plastics that come with chart or yellow tails is the key here because the main forage is threadfin shad.
  3. Hey, nice to see someone from L.A.I fish theMobile delta system. From my experience high tide is good for fishing because flooded weeds will bring baitfish thus bass into certain areas and when the tide starts to fall the baitfish begin to move and the bass bite good then quit as current subsides. So if your on the water when its high but falling, look for baitfish moving around. If you see definate signs of baitfish, your in a good spot.Always be looking for baitfish, even when the tide is moving in the baitfish will show and you can catch fish.Good baits are soft lizards in green pumpkin, mossy pumpkin and junebug.Chartruese buzzbaits ,chartruese /white spinnerbaits early morn or cloudy.Chartruese w/blue back cranks between 8-2 when sunny ,plastic lizards when you have found the fish.
  4. I can cast too. I casted a million times at this lake and caught 1 little fish.I finally quit being stubborn and tried a new technique a buddy told me about called trolling. At first it was tuff because we were catching a bunch of crappie, cats, stripers hybryds and bluegiills. Then i tied on a chartruese crank bait and instantly caught a three pound bass.We duplicated the pattern and now weve located about 6 honey holes on underwater humps and catch bass everytime we go,casting soft plastics and cranks.90% of the fish is in 10% of the water and i know what 10% theyre in. Hope this helps somebody and good luck on the water.
  5. does anyone troll 4-8 ft chartruese crankbaits in 10-12 ft of stump filled water to find them hard to find schools of bass in clear water because it works, especially when its hot.
