  1. Wow nice work!! Keep it up!
  2. No factory rods here since I have access to a huge inventory
  3. Basically we have a variety of different options from NFC to RainShadow. I would look at the lineup then come back and ask questions. Just depends on how much you want to spend and what your looking for.
  4. nice bling!! Great wraps!
  5. How much do you want to spend.. That is where you need to look first. If your going to get into rod building and want to spend the money, doing it right first is always best. I would hate anyone to spend money and not get the right equipment. Just depends again on how much you want to spend and if this is something you want to pursue. You have stated you know about blanks and components, it sounds like your going to be serious. Here is a variety of different price levels of equipment and tools. If your going to go the power wrapper route, I would go to the ALPS power wrapper with the upgraded chuck. Its the best tool before you get into a Renzetti. FYI Renzetti is one of the best, but it carries a $1000 price tag. http://alpsforecast.com/product-category/gear-components/tools-supplies/
  6. Jiggin' We have numerous brands and models to choose from both NFC and RainShadow. Would you like us to suggest a few other models of rod blanks?
  7. Hi Jiggin' The SWB808 is a good stick. It will be hard fitting components since the butt is larger diameter. The SW807 could work too. Another model that might be up your alley is the BB809. It has the same characteristics but slimmer diameter.
  8. Hi Piggin, What do you want to know about it? Please either ask here or you can call into our office.
  9. Great first build! Now time for your 2nd! Make the MVT fit!! Its worth the money!
  10. Great build!!! Looks nice! Next time you can go with the MVT for your blank. The dual locking nut is a better route, but we understand the foregrip option wanted. We can write you a blueprint off the blank and get you all setup!! The blank though might be big for the insert, but I believe the ALPS MVT has the seat without the insert to fit larger blanks!
  11. Here is what you should use for ice buildup: http://alpsforecast.com/products/supplies/dyna-tek-products-rod-reel-performance-kit/ Review, I know its not Bass Resource ( But it should be coming soon through Bass Resource ): http://***.***/story/1504855-dyna-tek-rod-reel-and-line-coat-review?s=537 We can send some samples out if you call in to our office. Quantities are limited.
  12. Not trying to Hijack a thread, only because you built on the RX8+.... Do you see any difference in the new ones? Have you tried our Immortal or the Eternity2 models yet?
  13. Yes you will be hooked! Why?? Because you can build your ultimate dream rod and save so much money its ridiculous! As in terms of spending too much $$$, that goes with any sport where you can customize anything on the rod.
  14. Looks good FishinDaddy. Question for you, how long is your handle? Just trying to get an idea of the RX8+ being tip heavy :| Your rod looks great!!
  15. Going custom is the only way you can get the lightest rod. Its because you can pick anything you want and shave off anywhere you see fit. We have models for any build! Agreed with Custom!
  16. Nice! Remember our blanks are RainShadows!
  17. we have a ton of kits that would work as well. Check out our retailers nation wide for them. Here is a couple of websites to get you started. www.rainshadowrodblanks.com and www.alpsforecast.com
  18. There are a ton of comments all over on the Revelation blanks. They are the best overall round blank for the tournament fisherman! Btw, if you like St. Croix, their former head designer is our head designer!! Size thing down? What tips do you need?
  19. Nice build on the RainShadow Revelation rod blank!! Let us know how it fishes! Excellent build!
  20. Great to hear you’re impressed with the rod, love to hear more when you get to fishing it. Would love to see some pictures when you get a chance - always like seeing different custom builds.
  21. The Micro and Mini guide system has been used a ton! You would have to deflect your rod in order to figure out where to put them and how many etc.. http://www.rainshadowrodblanks.com/product-line/revelation-bass-casting/click on the "BluePrints" tab and find the 7'2" MH. We have used a mini guide concept
  22. build your own or have someone build it for you. This way you get everything you like even down to the color
