6' Light Action Spinning Rod.
The daiwa samurai braid is actually thinner than the 8lb power pro actually. I have the 15lb on my 1000 stradic so that is what i told him to use.

Favorite Way To Fish
I love super finesse fishing with ultra light lines and small baits. You would be surprised with the size of the bass you catch, especially the smallmouth. Other then that I love deep cranking and fishing jigs around cover.

6' Light Action Spinning Rod.
One of my fishing buddies is looking for a light action rod in the light action class. Not ultralight because he wants to use it for light drop shotting, small senkos, and extreme finesse presentations like they do in japan. Putting a 1000 size stardic on it with 15lb daiwa samurai braid. any suggestions on any brands?

Jon Boat To Bass Boat Conversion
I have a Alumacraft 1432 jon boat and am looking to turn it into a small bass boat. My plan was either to make it a front/rear casting platforms or make it all the same height as the platforms. What should I do? Anyone here ever do a jon boat conversion? Thanks.

Drop Shotting For Smallies (Where Are They?)
Bait is the key when it comes to deep water smallie fishing in the summer. The bait usually hangs around the structure. If you find the structure, you find the bait, you should find the fish. Drop offs are another key element as baitfish stack up on the drops. Try using a deep driving crankbait or a jigging spoon. Cranks that dive to 20+ feet. Don't be afraid to go too big either.

Biggest Smallie
Mine was a 4lb 12oz fish that was caught on a 1oz football jig in 23 feet of water on a rock wall.

Whats The Best Method To Find Deep Water Smallies
Smallies in the summertime usually stay between that 10-30ft range. They stay as deep as where the thermocline starts in any given lake. A good graph is the key to targeting deep water smallmouth. Mainly I look for drop offs where bait congregates and where bait is near the thermocline. Also near really deep weed edges and rock ledges are great also. Then again, you are in a natural lake. Not all smallies in natural lakes go deep, some do stay shallow depending upon the forage. If the forage is there, then the fish should be too!

Bass Fishing In Riviera Beach, Florida
Going to be staying in Riviera Beach toward the end of November. Looked on Google Earth and on the Florida fish and game website. Can't find many public waters in that area. If anyone could point me in the right direction on some places to go that would be great. Thanks in advance and Fish On!
