  1. 2 to 3 fish in one afternoon would be nice.
  2. On a strange note. I have 8 different zones that Ive selected to fish at, chosen because they seemed to have the most favorable qualities for holding bass. But, I seem to catch fish most often at the few spots that are the most pressured. Go figure. hmmm,
  3. Thanks, already done. I typically fish early in the mornings on the weekdays because that fits my work schedule, and then I fish evenings on the weekends.
  4. On a better note, at least the size my average fish is between 2-5lbs. That's something I can feel twitterpated about.
  5. Already done. Its been a few years, and by now, its safe to say...."Soon," has come and gone.
  6. That's what Im thinking. An Interesting thing though....It seems the "park lakes" may actually be even more fished than the town lakes.
  7. Already have. This lake has been scrutinized thoroughly over the past few years. All of that has been established, to the best that can be done while catching only one fish for every 12-15 hours.
  8. Agreed.....Im beginning to think, wrong lake.
  9. Ok, I bank fish, mostly at lakes that are the centerpiece of a local park or state park. I catch decent fish, but I don't catch much. I average about one fish for every 12-15 hours of fishing time. Ive had little to no luck with most of the baits/techniques that most other fisherman swear by. My most productive technique for most other places, generally yields nothing-to-very little in these waters. Only once have I ever caught a second fish on the same day. So this is the conclusion that Im coming to.....Since it is a public park, these shorelines must just be too over fished. The fish along these banks probably face a daily barrage of fisherman, at least starting in the late afternoon, when everybody gets off of work. Weekends are even worse. If this be the case, I am really inclined to think, that one occasional fish, is probably as good as it is ever going to get here. Im pretty sure at this point, no amount of new lures, new techniques, or new whiz-bang ideas will ever do much to improve my numbers. Time to find me some waters that are not part of a public park, or get out on a boat.
  10. On a side note... There are a lot of baits that I don't have success with that most other people do. Nowadays Im checking the local ponds because Im coming to the conclusion that, Im thinking, my home lake may just have too much fishing pressure on it. At least along the shore line. So, Im looking for more productive haunts.
  11. Good to know. I actually t-rig the 3 inch to avoid hangups in the slop that I fish it around. Going to take it to another pond tomorrow, to see what lurks there.
  12. 1/4 oz is a deep runner? Seems a little light for deep-running.
  13. UPDATE: I have since switched to braid, and yes indeed, this thing has come alive now, and I can work it better than my pad crashers. It is.....magnificent.
  14. As a bank fisherman, the way I see it, the 3 inch Senko does for me, what the Ned Rig, does for other folks. And it it does it while being weedless and weightless. I so far have had no luck with larger stick worms, but for the purpose of simple fun fishing, the 3in. Senko has done me very well. I can take this thing to any body of water, and catch fish. Sure theyve all been smaller, but it gets me both numbers and a surprising variety. For instance, aside from bass that average from 11 - 13in., this morning I took it out to an unknown pond, and started pulling out 10 inch sunfish. Several of them. As well as several smaller ones. (Stoked) Now Im starting to contemplate using them for Crappie as well. If so, then for bank fishing, the slow fall and subtle wiggle will make this much better than working a panfish jig. Oh, and surpsingly, despite criticisms about Senko durability, these little ones held up quite well to the onslaught of feisty sunfish. Only had to change out once. Im seeing now how this also makes for a good search bait, and gives me better appreciation for what the 5" stick worm should be able to do, despite my lack of luck with it.
  15. It varies, depending at what depth Im running, and what sort of hangups Im trying to avoid.
  16. YES!!....I knew someone would come through. Best idea all day. Thanks,
  17. Umm...yes. Unless there is some other hole in the nose that I am overlooking.
  18. Trailer alignment is fine.
  19. Its just a Strike King swim jig 3/8oz
  20. Well, I hang the jig down in the water at a shallow depth, and hold in a manner that helps it lay still in the horizontal swimming position, and I look down at it. The leaning very visible.
  21. Im guessing you missed the part when I said it also happened when the bait is suspended motionless. Meaning if I just dropped over the side and let hang in the water, motionless, it still leans to one side. Trailer alignment in this instance would not be a factor.
  22. It tends to come loose. Hence I switched to the Polomar knot.
