New Fun Project: Line-Thru Craw.
I forgot to mention that I trimmed off that tail nub thats underneath, so as to make the underside flat.

New Fun Project: Line-Thru Craw.
Im sure there would be plenty ways to refine the idea.

For the heck of it.

New Fun Project: Line-Thru Craw.
I have no idea...yet. I took it off of a 2/5oz Daredevle.

Need Help Lightening My Tackle Bag
Step 1.) Start by getting yourself a much smaller bag, something that only holds a couple/few 3500 boxes. Step 2.) Fill that bag. Whatever doesnt fit, stays home. Step 3.) Go fish. Rotate baits out as needed.

New Fun Project: Line-Thru Craw.
Heres something nifty you can do with a Yum Craw bug. Turn it into a line-thru craw. Just insert a bullet weight, glue it, and use a two prong hook.

Damiki Air Frog
Tried it.............didn't much like it. Its size and weight seem to cause it to come through the water like a brick. Now admittedly, I was using a 5/0 hook, when it recommends a 7/0 hook. But sorry, Im not into spending money on special hooks just to fit one bait. for a floating plastic buzz frog, I opted for the Top Toad, and have been satisfied with it.

Lews T1 Rod Weight Ratings
I once had a medium heavy casting rod that was rated 1/4 - 5/8oz. Thats when I decided that there must not be any real relationship between lure weight and rod power.

Wrong Line Weight?
<---- New to working baits of this size. So I might be a little lacking in the common sense department. But, thats why I ask questions.
-
Wrong Line Weight?
Well the 20lb big game seems to be working fine, so I'll stick with that for a while.
-
Wrong Line Weight?
Perhaps. Not sure how one markets a rod as braid ready without making mention of braid at all. Well, I,'ll just have use some trial n error to see what works best.
-
Wrong Line Weight?
That would make sense. I wish it would specify. But then why a braid only rating?
-
Wrong Line Weight?
Agreed. I think I'll re-spool with some 20lb Big Game, and see how it goes You know, I also find it interesting when I see other rods with the same lure weight, but with lighter line weights. Like in the 12-25lb range.

Wrong Line Weight?
Small swimbaits, and light musky baits up to 2oz. The heavier baits dont seem to be fishing all that well. But that issue may be unrelated to line weight.
-
Wrong Line Weight?
Thats interesting, because the lure rating for the rod is 1/2 - 2oz. But nonetheless still seems no bueno for baits above one ounce.

Small Bass?
3in Senko, t-rigged weightless. Slays them all day, under all conditions.
-
Wrong Line Weight?
I currently have a baitcaster spooled with 12lb mono, but noticed the line weight printed on the rod is 20-40lb. So then, my question is generic... Is my line set up, good, bad, or doesnt matter? thx

What Do You Pack When You Bank Fish?
Nope. When I bank fish, it is always at places where I can park the car within fair sight of the shore line. No need for any additional gear.

Birthday Lure
+2 on getting him an expensive bait. It makes a lot of sense as a gift.

Get him a Jitterbug XL.

Tackle Backpack
<----- Bank fisher, but never been one for backpacks. Never carried enough stuff to facilitate the need for one. But I did recently convert an old tool bag into a Musky/Bass bag. Im pretty happy with it,
