Best Budget Cranking Rod
I am sure this question has been answered before but I was wondering what is a great casting rod for crankbaits. I am on a really tight budget, new father, saving for a wedding etc and Ive had the luck of meeting some very helpful and generous people on here. That being said I really LOVE fishing and it is the only thing I can do for me time/alone time. I have one rod and reel mainly for fishing jigs, but now I want to see what everyone thinks is a really good budget medium cranking rod

Gotcha. Would you let your buddy know that there is another kayak fisherman out there that would love to join him in the water

It is actually. A friend and I were on his show when we were very young. We showed the viewers the karate chop a worm in half technique for bream fishing. Went to school with his youngest son Tim. But never knew hank really.

Need Help!
I'm mainly throwing jigs 3/8ths and 1/2oz. I'm not quite comfortable with the bigger jigs yet but jigs are definitely something that I spend a lot of time on because I'm still learning. I throw spinnerbaits and some weightless soft plastic but mainly jigs. I'm not really sure if I prefer a rh reel. It was just the only thing available and I didn't even think about changing, if I get the chance to try it I will. I think the rod is a medium-heavy with moderate action

I think that pricepoint is too right for my blood at the moment. I would say definitely under $100 I mainly fish jigs so we can focus around setups for those

Lake Norman, Nc Fisherman
Hey everyone, new fisherman here looking for some help in the Charlotte area. I really would like to meet other fishermen in my area and learn what they have to teach. I mostly fish from a kayak but have access to my folks pontoon boat from time to time

Need Help!
Ok, let me line this out as simply as possible. I am a a new father, 3 year old and 10 month old, 27 years old, and recently re-enrolled in college so basically I am as close to broke as possible. Annnnnyyyyywayyyyyysss, I was using a Quantum ql1000 that a neighbor gave me, basically a $10 made in korea baitcasting nightmare! The Quantum reel has finally died on me. It is literally unusable, the magnetic brake doesn't work and there is no sweet spot for the drag, so flipping, pitching, and casting in general has been the single hardest thing I've ever done. I need a new reel, and I am fine with using whatever rod came with the reel. So I need to know what the best bang for your buck reel out there is for a combination of jig and spinnerbait fishing is. So anything that works great while being ridiculously cheap lol, and then hopefully I can save up and get that new reel, after an engagement ring. So like the post says what is your best suggestion out there, thanks guys.

Greetings From Charlotte Nc
Hey everyone, my name is Aaron, I am actually from Denver, NC which is about 30 minutes outside of Charlotte. My home lakes are Lake Norman and Mountain Island lake. I am 27 and a new father of a 3 year old and a 10 month old. I have recently rediscovered fishing and go out on the kayak or my folks pontoon boat every weekend. My gear is falling apart, lol, but I guess I make it work. Anyways thanks for welcoming me to the site
