  1. Thanks guys. I have heard all those but wondering if their is one clear distinction. I have a pond in my subdivision about five years old with underwater plant life and a thriving population of bluegill but no bass. So I have done research not only on this website but read a few books and transplanted some bass. The pond is a little over an acre in size and up to 15 feet deep depending on how much rain we get. A fountain in the center of it running throughout the summer. I have put 4 bass total between 16 and 22 inches in the pond. I will not be putting anymore in and have pictures on my phone of the ones I have but want to make sure I have at least one or two females. Anybody really now for certain how to tell the difference?
  2. How do you tell the difference between male and female? Serious I am going to begin stocking my local pond and do not want to populate all males or all females.
  3. I fish northwest arkansas every year. Well almost northwest more like north central. Will be at Bullshoals 5/18 and just came back from Norfork 4/24. Check out some of the web sites provided for me and you should be able to find a club based on your location. Good fishing bass lady
  4. Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated. I plan on joining one after my trips to Arkansas 4/20 and 5/18. Good Fishing !!
  5. I am looking to maybe join a club and currently live in Lockport, IL. Anybody know of any clubs for this area?
  6. maelthra I have friend that lives in Batesville about a block or so from the River. Talked to him last night and he hits several ponds in an around the area. Says bass fishing right now are hitting great over by the first lock of the dam on the river using minnows. Try there for bass if your not having any luck in the ponds. You might even see him there. His name is Joe we call him Cecil back here in Chicago. Good luck
  7. I agree with Roadwarrior. I live 10 minutes south of Chicago and drive down to Arkansas every year for their smallmouth and trout fishing. You can definately get 4 pounders out of Bullshoals, Norfork and the White river. Midsouth definately has some great places for Smallmouth. Hopefully I will have a picture to post after my trip in April
