  1. Anybody have solid tips about ocean pond, I cannot find a lake map on it. I know there are marker buoys that indicate brushpiles and I will way point those on my sonar/gps but I will save a lot of time if anybody can tell me any good flats and ledges. Thanks in advance.
  2. I can't find the impeller that fits this outboard motor. I have gone to several marine shops and all of the DT series impellers do not work. The motor has blue body and white cowling. What year is this motor? TIA
  3. So my trailer lights are dim. Its not the trailer because Everytime I plug them into a different truck they work but when i plug them into mine they do not. I ran a new ground and replaced the plug and they are still dim. Then i ran the negative ends of the jumper cables to act as a direct ground they worked flawlessly i ran the jumpercables from where I ground on the truck to where I grounded on the trailer any thoughts on why they are still dim?
  4. Im going to fish for peacock bass there. How many acres is blue lagoon, I plan on fishing mostly the canal system connecting Mahar and the lagoon. Any suggestions also?
  5. Yes I know they are bass by the way they are positioned but I always have trouble staying above them
  6. Im from Fl and absolutely love shallow water fishing and nail them all the time and have been trying to gain deep water confidence when I go over a school of fish i pitch out a marker buoy where they are but by the time i turn around i cant mark them again for some reason when I do find them im always battling the wind any tips on how too stay in place
  7. do higher settings display weaker signal returns better like air bladders on a bass better? Yes for now with my budget i have an 8 level grayscale model which im happy with just getting adjusted to what everything looks like (like an airbladder on a fish)
  8. I struggle on what fish look like on a depth finder i have an 8 level grey scale depth finder and always struggle to see what fish look like can anyone help me by showing examples of some fish on depth finder screen. And will they always be an arch or will only their air bladder show up instead of their air bladder and two lines coming off the front and back?
  9. I put an inline fuse thanks guys!
  10. I have a motorguide f3 30# TM I just use the motor's alligator clips direct to the battery. I've never seen one used except in the case of internal boat wiring. Should i use a breaker i just run it off one 12V battery since its a 12V TM
  11. How often do you use your depth finder when finding fish? Do you use common knowledge somedays? Sometimes I use mine and then others I can just use my skills and instincts too find fish. Does anyone else here do the same?
  12. A depth finder and fish finder are the same thing too me. In addition I own a boat and a kayak used to have one on the boat just didn't use it alot except for bottom compistion. I'm more of a flipper then anything since I live in FL so I'm more of a shallow fisherman
  13. Your opinion really I dont have one on my kayak and seem to be very succesful locating fish! I usually refer to a lake map when I go to big lakes. I really use my backround knowledge of locating fish through the seasons. I'm sure ill get a depth finder eventually because I know its important to see alot of things under the water. But im fishing on a budget! So what do you guys think?
  14. I have a tournament saturday. The conditions are cloudy with a light rain chance, the high is 73F and the low is 63F the lake doesnt have a whole lot of cover besides some lines of reeds I will be pre-fishing for the next few days im thinking my best option would be a kvd sexy frog in all black. Any suggestions on what Yall think would work? Its going to be raining and storming for the rest of the week till the day of the tournament (saturday) any help on possible baits would be awesome I love in Florida also
  15. I fished ward lake in bradenton Fl its a small lake compared to all the lakes I fish (Lake okeechobee, lake Toho, etc.) and im gonna be honest it absolutely sucked i cruised around all day (no wake lake so we couldnt get up and go) and we only got a couple dinks it was horrible the weather was reltively good the pressure was somewhat high but i just couldnt find fish anyone know anything about this lake? Good spots maybe some good baits there I threw a 10 inch worm in junebug color which seemed to be the best bait. Like i said any bait suggestions?
  16. I do but 2 out of 10 cast will be off of what i want it to be
  17. Im coming up on a year using my baitcasters i have a 4. my casting is somewhat efficient. Im almost always dead on but sometimes i have a cast that are totally off my position? TBH it annoys me. Am i just moving to fast? Any tips? Im using 14 pound mono on my pqr 1000H reel on a temple fork outfitters signature series 6'6 MH power fast action rod
  18. I would throw a spinner bait with two willow leaf blades in gold its so muddy that your just looking for a reaction so that would be your best bet. You can also throw a topwater bait around the stomps i would use a popper bait or walker bait probably something slower like a popper bait and you can also flip to the grass i would use a havoc pitboss in black and blue with 3/0 offset round bend hook with a 3/8 oz tungsten weight.
  19. It must just be the model because i turned off all the brakes and it didnt make it and when i turned them on it did even after oiling brake drum
