  1. PX-R and Abu Villain ML Debate Spool it up or pack it for winter
  2. hello PX-R arrived today and I'm curious as to some different tactics used to spool one with braid Typically I have been rolling half the spool with tape. Tying my knot then taping the knot down over the exposed spool with tape with a slight overlap resulting in 1 layer of tape on the spool with the braid knot sammiched between However looking at this shallow spool. I am concerned with the space I'll lose with tape And I don't want a mono backing Quite possibly I lose less room with the tape as I would with a backing so my method is probably the best for usable capacity of braid Ideas ? I saw one guy who ties through the mill holes on spool but that's a cut line gamble Thanks guys

  10. My cast is goofy I start behind my right shoulder with both hands Left hand palming the right holding the rod blank just in front I throw forward from about 2 o clock Once I reach shoulder level I stop moving my arm and flick the wrist and release Tilting the reel counter clockwise to reach a vertical spool position It's the only thing that works for me
  11. hello I have a PX-R on the way and an abu villain ML To mate it with I plan to use PP 15lb red Plan to throw small worms and finesse plastic primarily Mabye a pocket frog in open ish water Sound good ?
  12. I guess the theory would be to have specific rods leaning towards specific powers and actions to match technique Myself? I have 10+ rods to take and started out the season taking just that I don't have the skill our ability to properly fish a worm on a hook let alone 10 separate technique specific tackles I take 4 1 caster for plastics with a 2/0 hook tied on for smaller 1 caster for plastics with a 5/0 hook for bigger worms and stuff 1 caster with a frog or something And I always have 1 faithful spinner so when my luck if nest free casting falls short I can just throw a few with the spinner til I relax
