  1. just wet a line in pembroke pines, you'll find 'em just about anywhere out there.
  2. star rod seagis..you wont be disappointed
  3. Attention grabbers- rattle trap, heddon torpedo, suspending twitch bait or jerkbait. All of those things seem to work for me
  4. Fished yesterday (Sunday) and found a couple good sized peacocks (4lb biggest) and a few largemouths (2lb biggest) in the C14 canal system caught on a MirrOLure mirrODean
  5. The USA braid is made by HONEYWELL, which is the same spectra in POWER PRO. I'd imagine it'd get the job done if it shares components with power pro...
  6. I have the saros 3000, love it more than my stradic FJ
  7. There is, and you can catch them on just about any top water lure, but the best is any type of frog
  8. that's actually exactly where I was, Its pretty productive just have to take some time and find spots that produce. Many of times I've got skunked trying new areas
  9. This past weekend found a few LM's surprisingly were of better size, with only a few dinks. Also hit up a peacock spot (really wasn't expecting much due to the cold weather) and found a couple decent ones. the largies were caught on a smaller sized spinner bait being pulled over some shallow grass and the peacocks on a gold rapala husky jerk over deeper grass beds.the bite seems slow but steady in the Margate area! Thanks, Thomas
  10. Penn battle and a matching rod. BPS and many other stores have the combos already set up around $130. Strong reel that should handle sharks and other big fish and they hold a ton of line!

  12. with your experience, is one reel better with braid than the other?
  13. I previously posted about the penn battle and opinions on that for both fresh and saltwater but after research and comments made about them I decided to steer in the other direction. Now I can't make up my mind between the stradic FJ and the quantum smoke inshore, they are both the same price and would be used for throwing jerkbaits with light braid for bass snook an other inshore species on light tackle. I'd like to know your opinion on which one you'd choose. And if you have experience with either of these. Thanks!
  14. I was looking at the stellar lite and I know the warranty on them is very good and is worth the extra money, The quantum iron does look like a good option, Id like to know how it compares with the Shimano saros(my first option right now) or if anyone has an opinion on the saros would be very helpful!
  15. I'm open to recommendations, the battle is just one that caught my eye due to price a reviews. I have a stradic FJ now and love it I'm just trying to save a little money
