That has never worked for me. The bluegill try to stay in a safe area away from the bass. Bass are going to be very spread out where as bluegill will hangout in large schools. Bass will move around throught a lake sometimes. Or they will stay in one place most of the day. If you want to find bluegill in a small lake check for areas that are very well protected. And if you find them one day chances are they will be there the next day.

Sad part is some people still wear these.

You need to get in those weeds. Use a fairly heavy weight 1/2 oz and up and punch through it. Or use a 1/4 or 3/8 oz weight and fish real slow shaking you're bait into holes in the weeds. Fish you're favorite craw with a lot of action on the back of it.

Yeah walleye fishing and bass fishiing always petain to eachother. I always catch bass trolling with my glow in the dark spoon. Not! Bass won't even see the majority of the finish in the bait. They will notice the color if the even can see color. So if you're fishing a realistic craw colored crank the bass will only see red. A tube looks like a craw BTW.
