What even ? Distance has nothing to do with reaction or not. Throwing it further helps realism ? Where have you found these studies? You like a natural color on the pause, for a reaction strike ? Or do you like crazy colors for a reaction strike ? A reaction strike has very little to do with the color you are using. Because you want the fish to react at the motion of the lure.

How do you know did you ask the fish ? And no a swimbait isn't a reaction bait, you should really learn that just because it's hard dosent me its a reaction bait.

I would throw a 5 inch swimbait around some cover, then take a Texas rig and work along the cover. Next I would take a frog and throw it over the cover.

That's my turf.. Scary man. I have a couple stories. One I was wake boarding in lake wateree lol yeah the same lake. I wiped out a little bit and as I look over i see this dead catfish probably 4 feet away from me, with a cottonmouth attached to it! I start to kind of move my arms away and this snake gets off the catfish and starts swimming around. At this point the boat is real close to me as is the snake. I grab the rope and tell them to gun it, when I got back in the boat a little later there were 2 holes in the side a few inches from my foot. Scariest thing I've ever expirenced. Another one I was fishing at a pond in my neighborhood. I'm fishing by this tree, I throw by buzzbait by it and on the way back in it gets hung up in it. I shake it out and along with the buzzbaits a water moccasin falls out and starts swimming really fast at me. I grabbed a 7 foot stick and shoved it in the snakes head. Pinned him on the bottom till the stick went all the way through its head.

You need to bargain hunt, and try to find some good used rods.

Not just Florida boys. On the topic: I use the otter line and the toads, and the swimmers never used their other baits. They have a good scent, they are very durable, and have a wide color selection. My personal favorite color is ripe melon, I strongly suggest it. I don't split the rails on them, I think it brings down the action a bit.

I don't even gut two fish a year. You sound like me when I was seven waiting for the bluegill to swallow the worm before setting the hook. I think you might need to figure out the bites for you're area if your gutting two fish in a day. The fish in the pond I fish the most do a 1tap,quick second, and then a full choke on the third. Haven't killed a fish in that pond in two years. Guess what two years ago I figured out the bite thing.

Raider I worry about you. Congrats I guess on the new pets? Why in Jesus name do you want a giant spider in you're house? I'm guessing the dragon is a lizard so have fun with that. You should just buy another dog next time.
