  1. Good video. Looks like a fun day!
  2. Does it change anyone's answer if the pond is one that Bill Dance fishes from on his TV show?
  3. Pay cash for the boat and enjoy it even more.
  4. I have a white one tied on most of the time but really starting to throw black a lot more.
  5. Nice article. I think that describes the passion perfectly.
  6. I always thought if I would just fish that worm I would probably catch a bunch of fish.
  7. Was on little family trip and ran into a fishing expo in Collinsville, IL. Picked up another Curado 200i for $145, couple vision 110's for $20 each, and some havoc pit boss for just over $2.
  8. I have been around boats since I was little and earlier this year I had my worst day ever while at a work fishing tournament. My motor blew up while on the water and I had to get a tow by one of the guys in our group. Then after being dropped off near the dock, it was windy, I went to use the trolling motor and the top plastic part snapped off so the cables came off. So now I am driving my boat into the dock laying on the deck, pressing the foot control with one hand and using the other hand reached over the front and steering the TM by the shaft. Dropped my partner off and he grabbed the trailer, remember it was really windy, and I am pulling into the trailer with the TM and I stand up to yank it up last minute and the rope breaks and I about fall in the lake. The TM hits the trailer, bounces me off, and the wind blows me sideways so I have to try again. Next run I have poor results so I get ticked/embarrassed as everyone is watching and I have to pull up my pants and ditch the socks and shoes to get it on the trailer.
  9. Not sure what lure it was. Maybe a buzz bait or a worm. I was likely 4-5 years old so too long ago to remember.
  10. What keeps them neat when in the boat?
  11. I like to skip jigs with something like a pit boss on as a trailer.
  12. Good idea! I use that box for my spinnerbaits and saw an old falcon box I thought might be good but I don't think they make it anymore.
  13. I like the Dave Ramsey model: Baby step 1: $1000 emergency fund Baby step 2: Pay off debt snowball Baby step 3: 3-6 months in expenses Baby step 4: 15% in Roth or pre tax Baby step 5: College fund for children Baby step 6: Pay off home early Baby step 7: Build wealth and GIVE (I have a bunch of old tackle) Baby step 8: Buy all the fishing tackle you want! I am almost done with 6.
  14. Someone needs to feed my 250 optimax!
  15. If you have a lot of lures it gives you more reason to have more rods so you can use the lures more efficiently. It's a vicious cycle.
  16. That thing would be 2000 pages if they put everything in it. Wouldn't that be sweet!
  17. Great idea. I really like the pit bosses and this gives me another reason to keep it tied on.
  18. My dad taught me how to fish and I have always had a pole in my hand from a very young age. We quit bass fishing as there were too many of us in the boat and starting catching crappie and catfish on jugs. Eventually I ran out of time after getting out of school and kind of gave up the bass fishing part but I had my own boat and still fished for crappie and catfish. I still like to do that but I am getting the itch to bass fish again and I am revamping all my bass tackle.....why? Because it is a lot of fun to buy all this new gear after 15-20 years of not buying much bass gear. Also I am trying to learn more about being consistent at catching fish in different spots and lakes. My dad was always a great fisherman and he taught me a lot. I am now learning some new tricks I will hope to show him.
  19. I just looked at some and there are small eyes in the on the side without the trough up the middle that I have never noticed before. I have been rigging with the trough facing up but like others I don't think it matters.
  20. Here is my advise...don't marry the first person that makes you happy (temp). My opinion is people don't change much from what they are or how they grew up. Find someone that understands who you are and that is not out to change who you are. Also it is great to compliment each other.
  21. I want to revise my post to anything that is biting!
  22. I never got hooked on the smoking deal but my dad did and he quit 10 years ago when I gave him a challenge. So happy for him and hope you have the strength and support to stick with your goal.
  23. I noticed the same on the weight range. You will have to let us know how it goes. Hope you feel better. My wife and son just got something.
  24. I find it's best not to add it up or I will really begin to feel like I have a problem.
