How Would You Fish Water Like This?
I'm getting ready to head off to fish a new lake tomorrow. It's going to be low to mid nineties, sunny, and the water looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream. I've fished muddy water and heavily stained almost black water, but never anything like this. Any help with lure selection/color and tactics is greatly appreciated.

Looking For A New Kayak This Spring
I've got a cuda 14 and love it, but if I were buying again it probably wouldn't be my first choice. However, that's solely because where I fish has changed dramatically. When I bought the Cuda14 I was fishing large bodies of water(Chesapeake Bay etc) and now I'm doing more river fishing. The Cuda is a great big water kayak, tracks well blah blah blah, but isn't so good in rivers. I've only dumped it once, but would like something a little more nimble. If I were to do it again it would probably be a Coosa or Ride 115x. Both of them are better suited for river fishing(especially the Coosa), but still do fairly well on bigger bodies of water.

Humminbird Helix 5" Side Imaging
I finally saw a Helix 5 in person today and am now leaning towards the Lowrance Gen 2 HDS 7 Touch. To me it was far easier to navigate the menus on the Lowrance. The screen is larger, and the picture seemed crisper for lack of a better term.

I'm surprised by the hate Delaware is getting. I've had some epic days catching largemouth there.

Mlf In Maine
I can't remember who it was, but one of the guys kept screaming it's a giant and would reel in a 1.5 fish over and over. Too funny.

Hello! I'm a long time lurker and finally decided to register. These days I do most of my fishing from a kayak. Fishing in lakes and rivers all over the Southeast.

Ever Catch A Lure That You Lost?
LAst spring I went to Guntersville for a long weekend of kayak fishing. THe first night there after too many adult beverages I picked up a rod and start throwing a Spro bbz1 and quickly lost it. At the end of the next day I was fishing the riprap in front of our campsite and snagged a line with a lipless crankbait. I pulled and pulled only to find my bbz1 hooked to a small log. I caught a couple of nice fish that day and got a decent lure back. All in all it was a good day.
