Thanks for the replies guys. I'm very excited about starting up my collection and I appreciate the feedback. Next in line for purchase I was thinking a abu revo s 6.4:1 on either a mojo bass or *** black for cranking. I mainly crank shallow to medium.

I've just purchased my first bc combo recently. I got the bps pq 7.1:1 reel and a shimano sellus worm and jig (mainly all I use) rod 6'8". I know this is a cheaper rod but it's all I could afford at the time. Just wondering if this was a decent choice for someone who's just starting out collecting and building his arsenal. I've used the rod a few times since I purchased it around Christmas time and it felt really good but then again I've never used a really nice rod so I wouldn't know what to compare it to. Just wanted to know if this was a good rod at all?
