Lake Hernando HELP!
Hello All! I am going to be traveling to Florida for a wedding and while the gf is doing bridesmaid things I will be fishing. It is in the Lake Hernando area. Anybody aware of any good fishing spots, tackle stores, maybe even a place that I can rent a boat for a couple hours. Any help is better than no help! Tight lines to one and all.

Finesse Football Jigs Vs. Standard Football Jigs
Wow thank you so much, that was even more than I could have asked for. I'm starting to feel better about my decision to trim about 15 strands of the skirt. The SK jig itself is already light at 1/4 oz just been fishing around 10' and less and the finesse presentation has been tops. Really appreciate the help. Actually just went ahead and bought a bunch of jigs on TW...I didn't to I had to.

Finesse Football Jigs Vs. Standard Football Jigs
In my goal to make myself a well rounded angler I decided to pick up a lure that everyone raves about that I don't use very often, the jig. Back last year I bought a few Strike King Finesse Football Jigs but didn't use them until very recently. I paired one with an Evolve Kompak craw and have been absolutely slaying bass. Now I only had one in the color summer craw and just yesterday lost it. Thankfully I work at Gander Mountain and ran and grabbed some regular SK Football jigs in the same color and the same weight but they were not the finesse version. Now the question I have is what is the major difference between finesse and standard. From what I could tell the thickness (amount of skirting) and the collar coming past the head are the only differences I could find. For my own confidence I trimmed the skirting of the regular jig to make it a little thinner, is this necessary, anyone have any insight into which is more efficient in certain conditions. Sorry for the long winded post.

Trd Ned Rig
It's not even fair sometimes with the Ned Rig, definitely a new confidence lure for me this year. The only negatives you will hear from me are hang-ups which happens quite a bit with the exposed hook and sometimes the TRD has a tendency to ball up on the keeper. When you land a big one the bait sometimes seems to twist around the keeper and wad up and in those instances I have to re-rig which can sometimes be a pain cause the elaztech doesn't want to come off that keeper. The bait lasts forever though, you will lose your jig long before you would have to switch a TRD out. I'm not sure if others have had the same experience with the Ned Rig because I use the VMC Half Moon Head which is pretty much the same thing as the Shroomz that ZMan makes. Maybe the slight variation in keeper is causing this problems, not too sure.

Tried The Ned Rig Twice
The 1/10th seems very hard to find. I use the VMC Half Moon heads in 1/16, they seem to be everywhere and are pretty inexpensive. They work like a charm. Like you I am now a believer in the Ned Rig. Every other cast I was bringing in a dink or a slob.

Z Man Chatterbait Skirts
Does anyone know if the skirting material on the Z man chatterbaits is made of Elasztech? Don't want to be mixing them if its going to cause problems. Thanks
