  4. it would give you a good chance at 7+pounders, yes.
  5. yea medium minnows work well. My secret is drop shotting a live nightcrawler, hooked once wacky style.
  6. been stuck guiding walleye n musky. Hoping to get on some fall bass nearing the end of our season.
  7. The 3rd Saturday in June is when the season starts for bass back home in Montreal. Up here in Northern Ontario on Eagle Lake it is always bass season. lol
  8. I'm out here working at a lodge in Northwestern Ontario called Eagle Lake Island Lodge. It is on an island in the middle of Eagle Lake in Ontario. 99% of our guests are american from the midwest. Eagle is a world famous walleye and musky where not many people target smallmouth at all. Smallies are my passion and I was determined to find some early season bass because at home we can't legally fish for bass until the 3rd Saturday in June. Here are a few beauties from the last few days. 7
  9. They don't even offer those Gitzit tube colors...
  10. They don't have the 3.5 tournament colors. The colors TW had are garbage.
  11. Tried ordering Gitzits but their site is terrible. Slow as hell and just simply doesn't let you put in an order...
  12. Different perspectives I guess. There has been a few times where I start stressing cause I'm about to get skunked (you obviously don't put pressure on yourself like I do or ever fish tournaments) and have saved the trip by catching monsters on "expensive baits". Once you save your day by hooking your PB at the end of the day on one you'd change your mind. lol Then again I fish high pressured, gin clear, fast moving water for smallmouth bass and it requires a lot more finesse and unique presentations than flipping for largies in stained water in local ponds...
  13. Most of the companies like Jackall, Megabass, Duo and Lucky Craft for example put in a lot more time, effort and money testing and refining the action and looks of their baits. Maybe it's my sense of entitlement talking but why would I want an inferior looking, moving or less researched and refined bait? I want and deserve every little advantage I can get to improve and maximize my hookups on the water.
  14. They work like nothing else for smallies but largies too. They are finesse n wobble somewhat like a crank. Light wire. If you target 7 pound plus largemouth they won't hold up I don't think. 16$ a piece on TW...
  15. Me too. Fridays nights kill me. The monkey gets super aggro on me.
  16. Another $200+ on Jackall. FML. 2 Gantarels and 10 Eruption spinnerbaits... Duo spinbait order in today.
  17. Blades n spinners today. Molix, Zman Project Z and Blue Fox. Keitech Swings. VMC rugbyheads.
