  1. Fished Lowes Pond tonight with very little success. Missed 2 on a Zara Spook and couldn't get a bite on anything else. Not sure I will fish there much, there were a ton of people down there. If any of you have any luck on this lake I'm open to suggestions?
  2. I live in the Oak Forest neighborhood. I ended up going to Appling late yesterday and caught 3 small ones. All on a Shaky head jig with a zoom trick worm. I will look into Quail ridge. Thanks again for the advice.
  3. Thanks a bunch! You just saved me a lot of wasted time. Good luck at the Civic Center, I know there are some good ones in there. Jason
  4. Ok, thanks for letting me know. Also, have you fished the lake at Rockyford park? Fished there one time and didn't get a bite. I just moved to Bartlett so I'm trying to find another place close to fish besides Appling.
  5. Also, has anybody fished the lake behind Kroger on Whitten Rd? Was wondering if it was worth my time to go there.
  6. I fished the lake behind Lowes Thursday evening for the first time. Had two bites but didn't catch anything. This lake looks really good. Wish I had a small boat, that would make it much easier to fish. Anybody have any luck here?
  7. Is the lake behind Lowes private? Someone told me that, but not sure if that's true since I see several of you guys talking about it. I have never fished the Day Care pond so thinking about giving it a try sometime this week. I fished Graham Lake up in Jackson, TN yesterday. Wasn't sure I would even get a bite after that cold front just came through. I ended up catching 11 all of them small. But I was satisfied under the circumstances.
  8. I caught her on a chartreuse Colorado blade spinnerbait. Just rolled it over a small log that has fallen in the water and she slammed it. Water was still fairly muddy. I thinking that fish was at least 9 lbs.
  9. Fished Grove Park this Saturday and only got one bite the entire time but it was worth it! This may be the heaviest fish I've caught in quite a while. Man she was fat!! Anyway, after asking someone to take my picture I safely placed her back to catch another day.
  10. Sure thing Kent. Will send you a PM in the near future. Jason
  11. I happened to run up on this forum while I was snowed in over the last couple of days! I also like to fish many of the local ponds around town. I haven't seen anyone talk about Appling Lake in Bartlett. I personally have not caught anything that big myself but I witnessed A guy last fall pull out a 10 pounder. Also, I really like the lake that is right behind Neshoba. Back in January I caught a really nice one close to 8 pounds on a Rapala Husky Jerkbait. Ready for the weather to warm up so I can get back on the water. Maybe I will see some of you guys around.
