  1. I messaged them what brand and model it was for. Haven't heard back yet. I'm sure they will get to it on Monday. Highly likely it's a strikeout, that's why I was wondering if anyone had done business with them before.
  2. If my math is correct about $73 . I figure for $27 it's worth a shot.
  3. Any of you guys upgrade to Windows 10 yet? I've had it a few days and I'm pretty impressed. I wasn't a fan of 8. Best part is that the upgrade is FREE!
  4. The hard part is done. You figured out which yak to get. That took me months!
  5. Is this in reference to the ITO or the listed HP?
  6. DogBone nailed it! You have now fallen down the rabbit hole! It's a completely different feeling fishing out of a yak. Not better or worse, just different. But oh so enjoyable. Congrats on the first catch
  7. I ordered one. The "carbon" one with cork handles. We will see. They offer a few other handles that are shown in their ebay store. Same price different knobs and length. Has anyone ever ordered anything from these guys before. Either off ebay or their website?
  8. Has anyone tried any of these handles or have any experience with this company? Seems like an awful lot of handle for the price. Just wondering if any of you had tried them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400967645281?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  9. The wait continues! At this point I've just accepted the fact that it will be sitting there a while.
  10. I have a Yakima. It's a little less than the Thule.
  11. What can I say? Some guys have all the luck, right?
  12. Another vote for boomerang. They are awesome!!
  13. Is it a pretty common thing for these packages to get held up in customs? I do hate knowing that the reel has come all the way from Japan and is now only 2 hours away from my house for the last week sitting in a warehouse
  14. Now that would be worth the wait if the bearings were already flushed!!
  15. I ordered a Shimano Aldebaran 51 from Japan lure shop over a week ago. JLS shipped the package extremely fast which got me all excited for a weekend full of fishing using my new reel. Unfortunately US customs stepped in and put a stop to that. The reel has been sitting in Chicago and EMS tracking says "Held for customs inspection" It's been sitting there for 6 days. My checking the tracking number ever hour has unsuccessfully sped up the process up lol. Anyone have any experience with this? Any ideas how long before I get to meet the newest addition to the family?
  16. Longo replied to Kyrazzy7's topic in Fishing Reports
    Congrats on the new PB!
  17. For me it's always the same.....Water, sunflower seeds, beef jerky and a fresh can of Grizzly straight
  18. Thanks for the reply's. That is what I love about this site, people are not afraid to give you the good with the bad. Have any of you guys swapped out the bearings?
  19. I've been looking for reviews of the new Aldebaran and haven't been able to find much except what was written around launch time. Wondering if some of the guys who own them on here could give me their opinions after having used them for a little while now?
  20. I would recommend looking for a used one on Craigslist or last years demo model. Many of the places that sell the expensive Yaks use a few as demo models and you can usually find a pretty good price on them. The hardest part for me was narrowing it down to which model I wanted. Once you figure that out you'll be surprised how much the prices can fluctuate. If you have a kayak dealer in your area try giving them a call. Either they may have something or know of a customer looking to sell.
  21. Congrats! It's a great feeling getting the first one out of the Yak
  22. Yes, the bass was a decent one too. Just over 3 lbs.
  23. That is awesome!! Thanks for sharing. I'd say a sacrificial buzz bait is well worth it. Not too many things compare to the feeling you get when that wake appears behind the buzz bait. I've had it happen many times but nothing ever came of it until yesterday. It's also a pretty weird feeling being pulled around in the kayak by a fish.
  24. I'd love to say it was skill. In actuality it was pure luck.....with a little help from the Cavitron. The Muskie didn't get the nickname "fish of 10,000 casts" for nothing. Fishing has been pretty slow for me this year, so this definitely lit the fire again.
  25. Thanks guys! It was definitely one of those rare days that I won't forget! I've been fishing this lake for a few years and have had many follows on top water baits but nothing hooked.
