  1. Just like the majority of you guys, i will be hitting the water like crazy in the upcoming months, but i am having trouble finding the topo/bathy maps in my area for free. i dont mind spending money on some but would like to avoid if possible. Do any of you guys have any sites, contacts, or tips on finding accurate maps of the lakes in my area? The lakes at the top of my list are Eufala, Lawtonka, Elmer Thomas, Grand, Thunderbird, and Elmer Thomas to give you guys an idea on what lakes i would like to explore. Thanks in Advance Go Vols.
  2. Welcome! where in Oklahoma? I am in Norman
  3. duckett micro magic (150) or ghost (100) both awesome and best bang for buck in my opinion also the micro magic red would look sweet
  4. All these guys hit the nail on the head. My honey hole pond is the same nightmare/blessing of grass. The grass keeps the shallow pond able to withhold a healthy population of fish. weightless Senkos, t-rigged trick worms, chatterbaits, and frogs seem to excel all year round.
  5. I am looking to get into kayak fishing and with my research I have found my target to be the Ascend FS12T. The price of a brand new one is around $550 I would consider a used one but haven't had much luck with craigslist. So my question is are there any other good recommendations for research within that price with similar specs and a good way to check for a used one besides craigslist. Thanks and Go Vols.
  6. jealous. enjoy, had a few at a bar when I went back home to TN for thanksgiving, I had TWO and then had to call a ride home, be careful with them lol
  7. from research ive done on the internet, hyperpigmentation is a sign of a healthy bass community Go Vols
  8. on a side note some small ponds around the norman area the bite is on right now so if you get a chance get out there.
  9. I believe if we actually got serious and got together to start one more people would be interested.
  10. hey all, I moved to Norman in January from TN and have been looking for some clubs around the area with no luck, I know myself and some friends I've made here that bass fish would be more than interested in starting or joining. on a side note it was fun to have to learn how to fish a new terrain here in OK. Go Vols, Danny
  11. thanks guys ill give it a shot
  12. hi guys, i picked up a few chatterbaits from academy my last trip and after getting on the water i realized i have no clue how to fish them. how do you guys do it and some tips and tricks maybe? Go Titans.
  13. try a drop shot or shaky head, get in right in front of them and make it shiver
  14. I drop shot with a medium action 7ft. Duckett Ghost and it performs flawlessly. and for 100 bucks you cant beat the quality that comes with.
  15. Hi guys. This is my first post but I am a long time reader of these forums. I was recently promoted at work and had to transfer from Clarksville, TN to Norman, OK. I shared a boat with my father and friends so the transition back to bank fishing here has been a shock to my bass fishing success. Also if you guys have any decent bodies of water that hold fish other than Lake Thunderbird. I have yet to visit Lake Stanley Draper. i have also done some research on joining a bass club in this area but cant find any contacts online. Any help you guys have on places to fish or clubs in this area would be much appreciated. Go Titans.
