the warm spell was nice
Thanks for all the compliments, and senko77 I think you might be right the camera angle does make a difference plus im a little over 6'2 so that might kinda put things in perspective. Eithere way it will taste great when battered and fried . Went back to the pond I caught that one in today and got some pretty nice bluegill.

Thats what I said, but I checked it on another scale at the house later. It was a fairly long fish dont remember exactly but around 20-22" I recon, but it was fairly skinny. Maybe the earth has more gravitational pull in this part of the county! haha

Went to the farm pond down the road and had a pretty good day. I caught this 6.4lber on a 6" YUM dinger forget the color, pumpkinseed i think. Really surprised me how heavy it was 'cause it deffinetly dont look that big. Anyways caught a few more all 3lbs and up, overall a great day.

If you caught a new state record ..........
If I ever caught a WR bass... Id take a few pictures with it then eat it and wrap the head in tinfoil. Then years from now show my grandkids and it would be found many years after I died and then there would be a big controversy about what the world record fish was and my name would forever be remembered by anglers everywhere! Seriously if I was to catch the state record bigmouth I would have to consider where I was fishing and how secret I would like to keep it. Most of the places I fish are ponds and I would never expect a record fish out of one anyways. But if by some stroke of luck I caught such a fish in one I would turn it in because very few people now of, or would be able to fish these ponds.

Ill do the experiment.
Sometimes its ok to learn things for the hell of it. Sounds like a good idea to me. However I dont think it really matters about the pH and things in the aquarium it would probobly be much easier to put a hook in a jar of lemon juice or something like that even though its not quite as acidic as stomach acid is it would still give you a general idea. Also I think I remember discussing the pH of the stomach acid of a salmon or something in one of my bio classes and it was around 3.
