  2. Yeah I kind of expect I'll have to fish without a bobber and reel slowly and do some light twitches.
  3. Any one ever fish with these? I just bought some from Bass Pro. Mainly plan on using them for bluegill. Just curious on what you guys think of them or any tips on how to work them. http://www.basspro.com/Uncle-Bucks-Panfish-Creatures-Crickets-with-Hook/product/29926/
  4. Kershaw makes a great knife.
  5. Up until this week, I was catching a lot of bass in my pond. We got a ton of rain last week/weekend and it seems the fish have not been active since. It has been a rough week of fishing, only one bass in 4 outings. I have tried several different rigs and presentations but it just seems they are not interested. Hopefully they will start biting again soon!
  6. I primarily bank fish. Every now and then I will fish from my kayak but you can usually find me fishing from the shore of my brothers neighborhood pond. I use several different baits but I've had the most success on a 6" green pumpkin U-tail zoom worm.
  7. Ha, Well after the advice of BassResource and the guy at my local tackle shop I ended up going with a Lew's Speed Spin reel and Custom Speed Stick rod. 7ft medium heavy with fast action.
  8. Thanks guys! Glad to be a part!
  9. Thanks for all the responses guys! Really helpful stuff. I got setup at my local tackle shop tonight. Really looking forward to getting back on the water!
  10. I appreciate the responses guys!
  11. Hello All, My name is Michael from Evans, GA. I am still a pretty new bass fisherman. I started fishing about a year ago but I love it! I am learning stuff everyday and look forward to absorbing the knowledge from everyone on this site. Thanks and take care.
  12. I probably wouldn't want to spend more than $150-$200 total for both the rod and reel.
  13. Hey guys, I'm pretty new to bass fishing. I started about a year ago with a Zebco 33 combo rod and reel. It's worked okay and I've caught a bunch of bass but I'm realizing that to be a more effective angler, I need better equipment. I am looking to invest in a decent spinning rod and reel. I mostly fish soft plastics, but use hard baits every now and then and some top water baits. I understand that there isn't a universal rod and that different rods are better for different baits, but I can't really afford to buy 2 or 3 rods right now. I think I would like something medium/medium heavy with fast action. Which brands guys recommend? Any advice is appreciated!
