i have an Abu Garcia Ambassedeur that i use for throwing big spinnerbaits, frogs and swimbaits for the most part. Im thinking of getting a 7'6"MH rod for it I also have a Quantum Kinetic PT that i use for spinnerbaits, jigs, and cranks. Im thinking about getting a 7'M rod.. Any advice here? I never really knew how to choose proper rod length/power

I currently have 30 pound braid on all my rods. (both spin and baitcaster) I then have a leader 4-5 feet long on the end, which has been 12 pound mono. Im planning to switch to a floro leader for the abrasion strength. Does the 30pound braid/12pound floro seem like a good pair? Im fishing for bass 99% of the time and here in northeast PA ive only caught 2 over 6 pounds, so i dont need monster tackle. But, we have some heavy cover/vegetation in some lakes i fish, so half of me questions the 12 pound leader especially in the hard, heavy cover hooksets.
