Best overall mono fishing line?
I use Trilene Big Game, but i'm going to try the Yo Zuri and Sufix Siege

What bait do you use most often?
I'd say crankbaits and t-rigged worms. If i'm not crankin deep, i'm shallow pullin em in on some sort of t-rigged worm. Jason

Using a depthfinder or fish finder
yes, you can mount one on your jon boat. the easiest thing is to mount the transducer on the trolling motor. then mount the graph onto a board or directly to the boat. you don't have to drop a bouy or fish right off the side. what you want to do is graph an area of the water that looks like i might hold bass...whether it be structure or cover. if you notice something, just look around you at the bank. pick out a tree or bush or whatever and visually mark it. look at how far from the bank you are and what not. then back out an fish it. now, if you're on a huge lake and out in the middle of nowhere, then yes, mark it with a bouy. if you're fishing a drop off, it migt help to mark the top, middle, and bottom of the drop to help you in placing your bait in the right spots. Extreme Makeover...Home Edition
Well, the wood flooring throughout the house went very smooth. It took about 10 hours from start to finish, which isn't bad considering they had almost 4000 sq. ft. of flooring to lay. Now we just need electricians to come back to finish up hanging light fixtures and the plumbers to set a few more sinks and button everything up. Hanging doors and door knobs is happening right now, along with installing towel bars and t.p. holders in the bathrooms. The cleaners should be in sometime soon also. WE'RE ALMOST DONE!!!!!!! Jason

Extreme Makeover...Home Edition
Had the night shift again last night (monday night through 5 am tuesday morning)...the entire house is framed, rough in of electrical, plumbing, heating and a/c are done, it is insulated and drywall has been hung. They are almost done with mudding and taping the drywall, then comes paint. I have to head back soon, because i'm in charge of all the tile that goes into the house, and that happens right after paint. Gonna be another long night. Jason

Extreme Makeover...Home Edition
Well, the night shift went pretty good. Had problems with the special concrete not setting up near as fast as we were told it would. I left the site at 5:45am this morning to come home to sleep. They were pulling the pans off of the new foundation when i left. Framers started about 3 hours behind schedule, but should be able to make up the difference so we can get back on track. They should still be framing right now. I'm getting ready to head out for another night shift. More reports tomorrow! Also, you can go to www.hartlandhomes.com/extreme/ and click on "Photos and Timeline" to see some pictures of the site. Jason

Extreme Makeover...Home Edition
Well guys, now that i have the all clear, i can tell you.... The company i am employed at, Hartland Homes, here in Lincoln Nebraska, has been chosen by ABC's Extreme Makeover...Home Edition to build a house for a great family. We have been in meetings for the last month with all of the production crew people, project managers, sub contractors, designers, etc., trying to get this all set up. We start Demo tomorrow (sunday) the 29th at Noon. I have to tell you guys, this is going to be the CRAZIEST week ever in my life. I will try to jump on here and update you guys as to what's going on as much as possible. I'll be pulling night shifts a couple times as I am the team leader for all the flooring going into the house. I don't know if i'll be able to put any pics up, as we are not allowed camera's in the house. If you wish, you can go to our website, www.hartlandhomes.com , click on the Extreme Makeover banner. There you will be able to read about the family, see some pictures and a blog of what went on each day, and just check it all out. THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!!!! We have 106 hours to complete a 4000 sq. ft. house!!!!!!!!!!! Jason

spinnerbait trailer hooks
not shrink tubing....i found that out what you do is cut a small piece of the tubing and place it OVER the eye of the trailer hook. Then pierce the tubing through the eye of the trailer hook, with the main hook. Slide it down to where it should be and you're set. Jason

trying to identify 2 spinning rods...
i just google searched "fishing rod, Avenger"...and "fishing rod, Buccaneer" The most popular was the Okuma Avenger, but you said they were both the same, just different names, and i could not find anything about an Okuma Buccaneer...but did find a Berkley Buccaneer. Then searched for Berkley Avenger and got a couple hits. Jason
