Should i use a MH rod for deep cranks(14-15ft)? And also if i use a medium heavy and use shallow cranks would that affect anything? Looking for a cranking rod that will work with all depths. Thanks

Just got the Abu Garcia black max with a vegeance rod. Planning on it being my soft plastics reel and some cranks. But im now looking for a crankbait reel and rod. Was looking at the cardinal STX vegeance combo. Anygood? I use cranks going down to 14-15 ft. The thing i worry is its not a MH rod. Should I buy the rod seperatw and get a MH? Would that affect shallow baits? Thanks

Narrowed down my decision. Whats a good rod and reel that I could put together that wont cost me more than 100$. I will use the set up for wacky rig and texas. Also fish some cranks on it. from 9ft to 14ft. Was thinking of a reel with a 6.1 to 6.4 gear ratio. Was thinking the Abu Garcia Black Max. Any suggestions on rods for this fishing?
