  1. Ok so this is the reel a Lews Laser mg speed spool I had taken it apart to clean it and I don't think I put anything back wrong but apparently I did because everytime I tighten the drag the spool gets reel hard to turn and it doesn't function well. And someone on the forum suggested that it might be that the AR bearing wasn't seated well and was sticking out and when u tighten up the drag it would put pressure on the main gear causing it to go slow.
  2. It's in facing the right way but it keeps falling out it just won't stay in
  3. My anti reverse bearings won't seat properly and it's causing my reel to be rough when I tighten up the drag because it's hitting into the main gear drive... Any suggestions?
  4. Thanks so much your a life saver that's exactly what it is now that I look at it. I've been stressed out about it for the last couple of days lol. But the only thing is how do I shove it in more cause it's only going in a little but it's sticking out too much like you said.
  5. I took my baitcasting reel apart and I'm sure that I put something together wring. My baitcaster seems as though when I I tighten the drag more the reel becomes harder and harder to reel in any suggestions?
  6. It seems as though when I tighten the drag more the reel becomes harder and harder to reel in.
  7. Ok got the concave washer order and everything and drag works fine now but still can't get the roughness out it barely reels in its hard to crank. Here's a pic of the reel anything I did wrong?
  8. What I mean by rough to turn is that the spool is turning really slow and roughly when I put it back together... And now I just took it apart again now the drag doesn't work again. I just don't understand it. And yes there is a bearing under the crankshaft but it's seated correctly and everything and no no washers are scarred up or anything... Thinking the drag configuration is wrong. Does anyone have a picture of what it's supposed to look like before you put the drag star on?
  9. Ok got the drag stack right and it works now but now the only problem is how rough the spool is turning it's like it's hard to turn. Any suggestions?
  10. Ok thanks I'll have another look at it and get back to you thank you!
  11. Ok got the crankshaft to spin the spool but now when I reel it's very slow and tight and rough and the drag isn't working as much as I tighten it if I pull the line still right off the spool
  12. Yes I have taken it all apart... The pinion yoke is seated properly and so is the pinion gear itself
  13. Does anyone know why this is happening? The crankshaft is not turning the main drive gear which then doesn't touch the pinion gear and then the spool doesn't turn. Just the levelwind turns. Any suggestions?
  14. Hello I was playing around with my reels the other day and decided to see if my lews speed spool in 7:1 drive and pinion gear would fit a crap reel that I have in 6:3:1 and I did it and it worked and fit well... So I was wondering if anyone could find me the parts numbers for the pinion and drove gears of a lews tournament speed spool in 7:1 so I can call lews parts section and order them... Thank you!
  15. The Daiwa T casting rods are on sale right now for 46 bucks on tackle warehouse... the 6'6 would probably be your best bet for throwing some wacky rigs and cranks!
  16. Hello, i want to upgrade my reel bearings with bocas but they are very expensive.. on ebay i saw that you can buy the spool bearing though for just 15 bucks...will that one bearing just make the difference in casting distance... I would think it would since thats the bearing the spool will be spinning on just wanted other peoples opinions on this. thank you!
