Medium heavy for spro rat 40
All right guys, I tried looking for this but can't quite find what I'm looking for. So I've been throwing the spro rat lately 40 size and I'm loving it, and I'm looking into getting a new rod that I can use the rat 40 but also use it as a multi-purpose rod for spinnerbaits and Spooks things like that. Would a rod that's rated up to 1 oz, more specifically a Dobyns either Colt or possibly Fury 704 ( heavy)or *** *** (medium heavy)be good for it? The one ounce spro rat would be the heaviest thing I intend to be throwing on this specific rod, but it will see a lot of water on that rod. Anybody throw the 40 on a rod rated up to one oz?

Is the Tatula HD spool tension knob supposed to click?
Just picked up a tatula HD 200hs 7.3 and for some reason i thought the spool tension knob (cast control) is supposed to click when making adjustments, mine doesn't. Does anybody know if it's supposed to?

1 or 2 piece?
I have 1 piece rods and 2piece rods. I do think that 1 piece may be more sensitive, but I do like two piece rods for ease of transportation and storage. I had one 2 piece rod crack right where the two connect, wich was the first one I've ever had crack. I blame it on being a cheap rod, but that hasn't stopped me from buying more 2 piece.

Pink braid for wife?
I appreciate the honesty. I do think that it looks good, but I've heard that it bleeds onto peoples reels and stains cork handles. Any bleeding for you?

This may sound like a silly question, but are saltwater lines made differently than freshwater lines.? She will be using it in freshwater.

Pink braid for wife?
Yeah if it works out I wouldn't be opposed to putting it on my reel. I just think my wife would enjoy a nice pink line on there. I think it looks good, I like bright colored braid That's what I've heard and what I'm looking for but having trouble finding it. There are out of stock on their site. Where did you buy yours from?

Pink braid for wife?
Hey fellas I'm looking for some braid for my wife's spinning reel. I'm hoping to find some pink or another color that women would enjoy. If not I'll use power pro hi viz yellow that I already have. Any suggestions or thought on spiderwire stealth pink camo? I personally don't like spiderwire on my spinning reels due to the waxy feeling it has, but haven't tried it in 10 or 15 lb test. Also having trouble finding kastking pink braid.

Swimbait rod for NH waters?
Yeah I'm thinking about going with a 6:1 ratio somewhere in that area. There is a possibility (depending how much sleep I get the night before) that I may go insane lol. That's more what I'm thinking. I already have some smaller swimbaits under 2oz that I would like to still use on a new rod rather than having to buy only swimbaits over 2oz.

Swimbait rod for NH waters?
Well that's good to know. If the 795 can handle Huddleston 68 that sounds good to me. I'm not even sure how often I would throw the 8" hudd anyway. Seeing that there's other 8" bait options.

Swimbait rod for NH waters?
Do you think most people would suggest starting with a lighter rod and smaller baits and then moving up to a heavier rod and baits

Swimbait rod for NH waters?
Also another consideration is the okuma guide select a series x heavy 2-10. But I believe the dobyns have a lifetime warranty that sounds great, and the okuma is a one year. My gut is telling me either the 806 or the okuma x heavy. But still unsure
