Hello my aunt is related to the guy who invented Fire line so she gets it for free sometimes. This year for Christmas I got some Fire line crystal 6 pound. I fish open water and clear bodies of water. Is it too light? I really want casting distance. I also will tie a leader. what are your opinions. Also do in need backing? Note: I live in Iowa if that makes a difference.

I was thinking of throwing up to 3 oz's hopefully but thats kinda pushing it for most rods

Is a 7' 6" casting rod to long for a 5' 1' *** year old. I want to throw swimbaits on an extra heavy 7' 6" rod help please. And any other input on size of rod to height of body would be helpful.

Hey fellow anglers has anyone been bass fishing at Zorinsky since the zebra mussels were rid of and it was restocked in 2010? Are the bass decent size or have they not have enough time. If you can see bait fish or any type of structure thats a good sign also any trees next to the bank or submerged are my personal favorite.

Braid is my go to especially 30 pound most my rods are rigged up with it. No stretch, durable, long lasting, little memory, and small diameter for line capacity. Your also doing to be fishing lots of terrain with the jig so the braid will hold up better for things like zebra mollusks.

yeah an abu what can i do

While i was reeling in yesterday i noticed that for some reason my line was all coiled up on the right side of the reel. I pulled off the effected line and spooled it back on everything spooled correctly until it got to the right side. The line guide wouldn't move. everything is a mess. and as a kid and on a budget this sucks. can someone please help. Note: If i put my finger at the end where it reverses direction it stops it from reaching the end and spools somewhat correctly.
