Numb: not sure who you're talking about… I live in NYC so I'm not sure if I ever watched it… also, i just put a link to last year's shows at Lunkerville.com… we're creating a new website and all the shows will be available there, for free. MX: to download the shows, hit the vimeo link on the screen… that will bring you to the vimeo site and you'll see a download link there.
  4. i think it took a little longer then that… most of the action happened in about 4 hours, and the weather started to kick up a bit...but time flies when you're having fun! most of the shows we shoot take 6-8 hours to film… some have been filmed in 3-4 hours… some take 2 days… but with Superman on board, i knew this would be an easy one. thanks again Glen for taking me fishing… and for teaching me a lot… it was a long wait, but well worth it

  7. Trippy, we're in the process of revamping lunkerville.com to include full HD versions of the show. We'll have the entire last season's shows and this seasons in HD. I'll get a link to Glenn's show and post it here for all to watch.
  8. The show will air on WFN most likely in November and on NBC Sports in February. When I get an exact date, I'll let everyone know!
  9. I had the great pleasure to fish with Glenn May today... aka the "Clark Kent of Smallieville"... We filmed an episode of Lunkerville that I've been wanting to do for a long time and finally the stars aligned and we headed to Banks Lake in Washington State to film the "Glenn May Story". Well, Glenn did not disappoint. With a dangerous storm front moving in, and the skies looking fierce, Glenn calmly made a plan for the day and it paid off. We had constant smallie action and terrific conversation and I finally got to get to know Glenn and shoot his story for Lunkerville. The most important part of the show will be to share with folks what Glenn does for the bass fishing community. He provides EVERYONE who is interested in bass fishing with FREE access to this wonderful website; the most important bass fishing resource on the internet IMHO. Does everyone understand that he really is the SUPERMAN of bass fishing information? I do. If you've seen this guy work the floor at ICAST, you'd know what I mean. Glenn is committed to informing people about bass fishing like no one I've ever met. I just get a good feeling about people sometimes... and I had this feeling about Glenn the first time I met him. The man is passionate about bass fishing and what he's doing is important. And there aren't a lot of opportunities in life to do something that's IMPORTANT. So, thank you Glenn for taking me out fishing on your honey hole, teaching me, allowing me to get to know you a little bit, and helping me tell another great fish story. And thank you Keri and Larry for spending some time with us and having a great time at the ELECTRIC CITY BAR AND GRILL! LUNKERVILLE WILL RETURN TO ELECTRIC CITY (insert GNR music here) !!!
  10. thank you numb one! the only change to Lunkerville will be, like Charlie says, that we'll be doing more multi-species shows and some saltwater... the format of the show will not change at all... i made this very clear to our sponsors, including our new title sponsor, South Bend.... the show name is changing to "South Bend's Lunkerville"in October, but we won't be hawking product and will continue to feature "real people and real fish stories" so look forward to the same old Lunkerville... just with a few less bass episodes. i really appreciate all the support from everyone at BR... thanks for watching the show!

  13. I reveal today how a joe shmo like me got his own fishing show. 2pm EST on NBC Sports.
  14. Today at 2pm EST on NBC Sports, I fish with 14 year old Nick Petrou for multi-speices glory. I also catch my first NYC smallmouth! Woohoo!
  15. the Wild Bill tribute show airs in 5 weeks... but this is Wild Bill's "Fish for a Cure" benefit tournament... so Bill get's a tribute and a half.
  16. Watch Jay Veilette (CTBASSIN) and me fish Wild Bill's "Fish for a Cure" benefit on Candlewood Lake Wednesday, January 9th at 2pm on NBC Sports. Set your DVR's to record the entire season while you're at it! (yeah, we catch a few)... the show is also a tribute to my father, who passed away from cancer and was the biggest Washington Redskins fan ever! Thanks BR for your support!
  17. We keep the shows online (older seasons only now) so that people can watch the show. It doesn't affect whether it's on the air or not. Our distribution deals are different with each network. Though, WFN does have an exclusive to air new shows first.
  18. Hey guys. Thanks for the kind words. Just to clear a few things up: Lunkerville airs on NBC Sports from January-June. Last year we aired re-edited re-runs from season 4 and 5. This January, we're airing an all new season 7, which is currently airing on WFN. Our WFN airings are 6 times a week, all year. We'll also be airing on Mountain Lake PBS and expanding to more PBS stations this year. Yes, we do a bit of creative editing in the shows sometimes, but that's our creative license. What we don't do is "fake catch" fish like some other shows. What you see is basically how the day went. It's real people with real fish stories. We start filming again very soon and will now be more of a multi-species show, with about 1/2 bass and 1/2 other freshwater species (with a pinch of salt thrown in). We're also revamping our website and will eventually offer past season's shows in full HD off your computer. The new season's shows will show up online after our NBC Sports airings. So, this current season will be available in July. Now, we do have a new title sponsor: South Bend, and it's a big deal for us. But the show is staying the same and we won't be hawking goods left and right like the other shows. You will see their product and logo quite a bit, but we are not changing the format of the show. If anyone has any questions, ask away. And thanks everyone for watching the show! PS. Thanks John and Paul for your terrific kayak presentation at the NYBASS seminar. TOP NOTCH!
  19. For Bill's friends who don't get WFN and don't want to wait until the episode airs on NBC Sports this winter, here's a link to Bill's memorial Lunkerville episode that premieres this Friday.
  20. The hammer falls next week on LAKE CHAMPLAIN!!! Bobby, I want to know EVERYTHING about the magic potion that is MEGASTRIKE FISH ATTRACTANT when we fish together. One question for you to think about: if I was stranded in the wilderness, Survivorman-style, with only a tube of MEGASTIKE, how long do I have?
  21. the above technique works every time... you friend also might want to start wacky rigging with circle hooks... it will almost always lip hook a fish.
  22. There was nobody better than Bill... nobody. He was the most giving, trustworthy teddy bear of a man I've ever known. Impossibly good. I came to know him very well as he was the #1 poster at NYBASS.com, moderator at lunkerville.com and a good friend. We actually did another episode of Lunkerville together a couple years back that was never released because he had motor problems and we only caught 2 fish. But I'm going to edit that show along with other Wild Bill clips I have and put together a memorial show to be broadcast on WFN this fall. He deserves it because he was that important not only to me and to Lunkerville; but to the sport. I attended his wake and it was standing room only. Just an enormous outpouring of love for this good man. I got to meet his family and spoke at length with his brother Fred. Here's a letter Fred wrote to all Bill's fishing friends: Hello to all of Wild Bill's friends; I am Bill's younger brother Fred, and I would l like to thank you all for your kind words and wishes about my brother. He spoke to me often about many of you, and I want to thank you all for being such good friends for him while he was still with us. I was fishing with Bill just before he died and when he failed to return to camp, I went out in my boat and found him, and ultimately brought him home. Before help arrived to free Bill's boat from a shoreline tangle, I spent the longest 30 minutes of my life holding his head in the darkess and telling him how much he meant to me, his family, his many friends, and the people who did not know him yet benifited from his philantropic efforts. Telling Mary of Bill's passing is the hardest thing that I have ever done. His entire family is in shock due to his untimely passing. Besides wanting to let you know how important you all were to him as fellow fishermen and friends, I want to ask each of you to pause for a minute and forget about the little things that may annoy you and focus on what's really important in life ... love. It can be your spouse, your faimly, your friends, or something as basic as life itself. I loved my big brother and my only regret in what transpired this week was that I did not get to tell him I loved him one last time. I'm sorry to take up some much space on a non-fishing topic, so I'll close with a follow-up fishing story: When I found Bill he was holding the trolling motor rope in his right hand, and a rod in his left hand. The next day, while storing Bill's boat and tackle until we can get a minute to figure what to do with it all, I grabbed that rod and figured Billy would not mind it I took it out for one more shot. After sunset and the stars were out, I motored past Green Island and dropped the trolling motor. We cast some surface plugs for about an hour with out a boil. I was physically tired and emotionally exhausted and said "let's call it a night". My freind said "take one more cast and see what happens". Two short jerks later the water exploded and the lake gave up a three-plus smallmouth. I saw that as a gift from Bill. If any of you would like to share a thought or story about Bill with me, especially the folks who fished his get-together the day he died, please drop me a line at frenchy.one@hotmail.com I bid you peace. Your brother in fishing, Fred Holzapfel You can watch the first episode I made with Bill here: http://www.lunkervil...06wildbill.html Rest in Peace Bill. You will be missed by many but your good spirit will continue in everyone you touched.
  23. thanks guys... but i forgot... for people who don't like lunkerville and hate the doors: start another thread... don't rain on my parade
  24. I have a new creative endeavor. I answered an ad on Craigslist for "Singer Wanted for Existing Doors Tribute Band"... I auditioned and got the job. So here I find myself: a TV show host on Lunkerville and a Doors tribute band singer. Is it weird? Is it cool? I think both. And I'm having a great time. We're currently booking shows in the northeast, so if you want to book a really cool Doors Tribute Band, we call ourselves "Blue Sunday". You can watch video from our last gig here: http://www.reverbnat...ayadoorstribute
  25. well, unfortunately neither of us got to show anyone up... due to unexpected personal reasons, i had to reschedule the shoot with bobby... but OUR DAY WILL COME!... AND SOON!
