My Next Excuse
Maybe this only applies to the U.S. Or Canadian bass ;-)

My Next Excuse
I'm playing the devils advocate here but, it says large bass. So their dumb baby bass may still bite. :-)

6Th Sense ****** 70S
It does, but I lost my only one today.

My Next Excuse
Hey, I found it on the Internet, so it's gotta be true.

My Next Excuse
The next time I get shut out this will be my excuse: "Largemouth bass are considered the most intelligent fish that swim in freshwater. After one experience with an artificial lure, a large bass will often avoid that particular style of lure for the rest of its life. That’s why the style and quality of a hook is crucial." All jokes aside, that's pretty cool as long as this is true.

6Th Sense ****** 70S
A couple of months ago I received the 6th sense ****** 70s lipless crank. The package says 5/8 baby ghost, but I looked on the website and it only shows that they have 1/2 oz. Would someone that knows help me get to the bottom of this? OR, if you have one of these 70 S's could you throw it on a scale and see what it weighs for me? I wanted to order a few today but I want to make sure I'm getting the right ones.

What Would You Do Next?
I threw a 3" shallow diver a little bit. i havent had any luck on cranks this fall. Also, I might metion that the lake is being drawn down. I'm not sure if that would positively or negatively affect them.

What Would You Do Next?
I was fishing a small, highly pressured lake. The past 2 days were warm and sunny, with a water temp of 55 degrees. I started fishing around 10 AM. I threw lipless cranks, SB's, Small jerkbaits, wacky worms and soft plastics. The only thing that remotely turned a bass was the HJ 06 & 08s. Around 245pm, sun was on pretty much all of the lake and had been warming all day. Three bass with the biggest looking slightly over 6 lbs came up from a drop off into shallow water. I cast a HJ 08 to it and it stopped, nosed the bait, and swam off. It hung out in the area for maybe 3-5 minutes. I experimented with different retrieves, pauses, etc. and none took the lure. What would you do next to land one of these bass?

Fishing Rod Tube Recommendations
I was looking at both. I will probably buy the Plano. I liked the design a lot better.

Final 3.
On this forum, on several occasions, I've heard people say things like," That's not a $200 rod." But it does in fact cost $200. I'm trying to avoid paying top dollar prices for a particular brand when I could get a better value with another, which is why I'm trying to get others' opinions. That's what I did for my Dobyns champ and I feel I made the right decision. BTW, do you have $100 worth of hay that I can buy for $200?

Final 3.
C'mon man, I'm trying to narrow this down without buying every rod on the market LOL What can you tell me about that rod?
-
Final 3.
OK guys, I have narrowed my search for a dropshot/ small jerkbait rod to three rods: Dobyns Savvy Spin Rod 6'9" Med Lt 692 G. Loomis E6X Drop Shot Spin Rod 6'10" Mag Lt 820S DSR Avid Spinning 6'9" Md Lt Xfast Dropshot I plan on running 8 lb flouro on something like a 2000 series stradic. Please give me some feedback on how they perform on the water. Thanks, Steve

Kayak Net
Nice. do you happen to know the dimensions?

Kayak Net
... My wife is going to leave me....

Kayak Net
I never did either. My wife bought a 15 dollar net a year ago and never used it. I took it on the kayak after losing a few Barely hooked fish on 2 outings and it's still almost more trouble than it was worth.

Kayak Net
OK, this one is for the kayak anglers on the site. What fishing nets are you using in your kayak? I have a terrible mesh net that treble hooks get burried in. It literally takes me 15-20 minutes to get the trebles out.

Need Rod Advice...again
What could you tell me about the maxim? I would go with the ML offering. Looks like a pretty cool rod. How would that compare to something like a dobyns savy, g loomis dropshot or the mojo bass ML?
-
Need Rod Advice...again
That is definitely more than I'm looking to pay. I've never even heard of Phenix rods. They look awesome, I'm sure they are great rods. Where do you even try something like that out At?

Need Rod Advice...again
.... And as I look at the savy, it looks like a pretty sweet rod. I'll add it to my list

Need Rod Advice...again
Honestly I didn't consider it because I already have too many split grip rod offerings. If it came down to two rods , I would probably pick the full cork grip because I own very few and wanted to mix it up. I figured for drop shot and jerking, i would want full cork.

Need Rod Advice...again
HJ06 and HJ08's weigh 1/8 and 1/4 oz respectively. You think that should be done on a casting outfit?
-
Need Rod Advice...again
By no means do I want anyone to rate every single rod, I just need a point in the right direction. As I've said in the past , I don't have the luxury of trying out every single rod, so I need to start narrowing it down.

Need Rod Advice...again
OK, so I "Need" another rod. It will be used primarily for drop shotting, but its secondary use will be for jerkbaits. Here's what it's going to be used for: 50 % of time - Drop shots from about 1/8 - 3/8 oz. 35% of time- jerkbaits most HJ 06 and HJ 08's but would be great to work HJ 10's too 15% light texas rids 1/8 oz and shakey heads. Here are a selection of rods, please rate them based on how well they would perform their primary andsecondary uses. I was originally thinking a ML, Fast action, 6'10ish with 8-10 lb flouro, but I threw some MF's in just in case---- Fenwick HMG 7' MLF fast G Loomis drop shot E6x 6'10 Mag Lite XF G. Loomis E6X Spinning Rod 6'6" Medium 782S SJR G. Loomis E6X Spinning Rod 6'8" Medium 802S JWR St. Croix Mojo Bass Spinning Rod 6'10" Med Lt Avid around 7ish feet in either XF or Fast action I know some of these rods are on different playing fields but there are different things I like about each of them. Thanks in advance, Steve
