  1. Nothing wrong with the president. Just curious if there is something better out there. I’ve meased around with baitcasters in the past, I just never put the time in to get proficient with it.
  2. Thanks. I’m going to go check out the BG. I have a Penn Battle II 3000 that’s on an inshore road that I take to FL. Would that be too big/heavy for the mojo rod I just purchased?
  3. I just recently picked up a 7’1” MF Mojo Bass spinning rod as an upgrade. I’ve been using a Pfleuger 6930 for the past year and was looking for some was thinking about changing it out as well. This is my all purpose spinning setup that I use when walking the banks and floating the river. I also want to get a second set to take with me so I’m not always switching lures. Would you all recommend the same setup or something slightly different. Thanks.
  4. I’m really not sure to be honest. I’m fairly new to trout and just wanted to pick something up while it’s on sale. I guess I was just looking for something for all around trout fishing.
  5. I was looking at picking up a few of the Pfleuger President reels during Bass Pros Black Friday sale. What would you all recommend for a lighter setup. The 25 or 30 size reel. Also, any rod recommendations? Thanks.
  6. Anyone ever used these swim baits? My local tackle store has them and it's the first time I've ever seen them. Made by Scott Boro tackle. Thanks.
  7. My spinning rod is a st croix and I really like it. I've been looking at both the premier and mojo bass. After only fishing with 6'6" spinning the 7 footers seem really long. Gonna get something around 6'8" or 6'10" since I do most of my fishing from kayaks anyways.
  8. Thanks. I'm going to hold off and get the MB. Now to find the perfect rod.
  9. Will the dual breaks make it easier for a newbie?
  10. I have the opportunity to get a BB1 for a good deal. I had recently been checking out the MB. This is my first baitcaster. Which one would y'all recommend?
  11. Thanks for all the info. I'm going to make a trip to Bass Pro and check out those reels.
  12. Thanks. My total budget is around $250. I've looked at some other st croix rods since I really like the one I currently have. I'll definitely look into what you've recommended. How does the lews tournament mb compare to the tatula reel? I've been looking at that one based on reviews. Thanks
  13. I've currently got a st croix triumph 6'6" MF spinning rod with a pflueger 6930 reel that I use almost entirely for all of my bass fishing. I want to try to expand but I'm not sure exactly what to get. I was thinking of going for my first baittcaster. I mainly fish from the bank or kayak. I also fish rivers and lakes equally. I mainly through small crank baits, senkos or other forms of soft plastics. Thanks
  14. First timer here to this forum. I've been looking to get back into to fishing and recently picked up a pflueger president 6930 reel. Is this a good size for fishing rivers for smallmouth, or should I return this one and get the 6935. Also, what rod would you recommend to pair with either of the above two reels? I would prefer a one piece if possible and something that nots going to break the bank. Thanks
