Yea I really don't like that massive treble hook hangin there. Any frog you tie on should be weedless. All they see is the belly of it.

I'm buyin one. Looks phenominal. That interchangable blade and skirt is a great idea. I bet that blade makes that "blup, blup, blup, blup, blup" sound, and the skirts makes it walk really well. Basically, when you've got on the blade, its like havin a super horny toad (that never dies)... and when the skirts on, its like a Spook or Sammy. Great colors too.

This dude knows whats up. Good call. Always have a trailer hook on. Always. Sam did a pretty good job explaining the basics of a spinnerbait. Once you break the seal and catch your first one, you'll catch 'em again and again. One thing that really makes a difference in the equipment you use. Spinnerbaits work best with baitcasters, and ok on spinning tackle. You want a decent gear ratio to get your spinnerbait moving at a smooth and quick retrieve. Good luck and have fun, - Aaron

Spinnerbait. White/chartruese skirt, and small silver and large gold blade combination. You choose the blade shapes and sizes.

This time of year, I'll throw a black 3/8oz. buzzbait with the clacker early in the morning, and late in the afternoon. Haven't tried any other top waters yet. - Aaron

I'm with these guys. Cajun, that spinnerbait looks sweet in those conditions... good call. Spinnerbaits seem like the solution in this situation. Maybe a crank on those rocks.

Wow. I wouldn't be throwin a weightless anything in 15-20 mph wind! Murky water, brush, trees? I'd throw a white/chartruese spinnerbait. Make it look like the stupidest fish in the lake. Run it into those trees and that brush. Maybe a rattle trap as close to the shad as you can get. Match the hatch.

There have been so many times where the trailer hook has hooked em on the outside of the mouth, but with a trailer hook you never really know where the original bite was.

I wouldn't say natural, but I'd say dark. Purple, blue and black are probably your best bets.

Yea... sounds like a lack of food. Bass can go for weeks without eating. You need to go bluegill fishin and stock that pond up.

I've caught some nice ones off $1 spinnerbaits from Wal-Mart. The only downside is that they are all silver blades. No gold. :-?

Falcon Spinnerbait box. The only tackle I carry, I carry in that box. Half for spinnerbaits, the other half for everything else. Its a mess.

You need to find yourself a good spinnerbait that you really love to throw. Its so smooth on the retrieve, you've got great control over it, and it looks so good in the water. Just throw it. Don't even think about catching fish. When I get into a slump, I stop caring about catching fish and just enjoy the great outdoors and the feel of the cast and retrieve. I disagree. In my opinion and experience, a spinnerbait is by far the best bet for any water you fish. I would much rather throw a spinnerbait in a pond that difficult to fish then a jig, worm or crankbait. For instance, there is a pond close to my house that is behind an apartment complex. The pond is pretty small, but I love fishing ponds that are surrounded by trees, and always calm. The pond is filled with angel hair algae. It sticks on anything. Its impossible to fish a jig, even a worm is difficult. But a spinnerbait, na. If you run it high, close to the surface... and know what you're doing.... it is by far your best bet. If there is any stumps, fall downs, anything at all sticking out of the water... fish it! Run the spinnerbait right through it. Experiment with colors and blades. Good luck and have fun.
