I agree with both of you. I think you should probably try a spinnerbait with the a single colorado blade, the biggest blade you can find. Then bust out some topwater. Go with dark colors.
Go with a Topwater. Something really slow and big if you're looking to catch the big ones. Anything that is long and slender a bass considers okay to eat. Keep that in mind. Slow speed is the key to bigger fish.
Man I'd fish that place topwater all day long. Throw a Zoom Horny Toad or a Stanley Ribbit. A Lunkercity Salad Spoon would KILL in that pond too. Go with the top water man, don't hold back!
Oh yea, and in a pond that clear, you need to be sneakin' up on the bass ninja style... they can't see you or they'll freak and scatter.
Once you've got him hooked good, let him take it. Let him wear himself out a little. Then, when he stops fighting so much, start to real until he starts fighting some more. Let him wear himself out again, and then start reeling.
