Hey all. Just moved to NE WI from MN and I'm trying to learn how to fish smallmouth out on the bay. Lot of locals have told me to learn how to read the wind when fishing smallies but of course haven't actually explained how to go about doing that. Figured I'd ask here. How do smallmouth react to wind (a W vs E wind), where would they stage on a point/flat/shoal with wind in consideration, and what would the overall pattern/migration be? Thanks all.

Thanks. I was watching his videos the other day. I have the worse luck picking lakes so was hoping to get a more narrowed list of small lakes sheltered from the winds.

Hi guys, I'm planning a trip up to the Leech Lake area for a weekend of bass fishing. Was wondering if anyone can recommend some smaller lakes that are good for bass in case my small boat can't handle the waves/storm on Leech Lake. I will be staying in Walker and don't mind driving around the area. Thanks!

Fished Zumbra today and got wrecked. Broad leaf pond weed everywhere. Threw the sink at them today and only managed a few off of whatever weed edge we could find. weedless senkos, swim baits, t-rigs, etc. couldn't find a pattern. if anyone has advice on how to fish this lake or lakes with similar pond weed lmk. i seem to struggle with this stuff. thanks!

I am looking for a flipping + punching rod and narrowed it down to Powell Rods. Can anyone with experience tell me why the 795CF is rated for heavier baits than the 806CF despite the 806 having a higher power rating? I am leaning more towards the 795 but want to make sure it will work just as well as the 806.

does anyone use a weighted hook with this setup?
